so who still henne is the biggest concern?

As unsexy as the Pouncey pick was, without him we would be looking at a 1st team O-line "highlighted" by Richie Incognito.

What the **** did Tony do to this OL? For an OL guru he sure knows how to **** things up. Fool is lucky I'm not the owner. I'd fire him right now and promote Nolan to interim HC. Seriously, Sparano is a bigger turd than ChadBot and this OL combined.

but i find it amusing on henne. the dude under duress from crappy oline, does 10-13 1 td and struck two big plays downfield back to back and this is what we get.

because if he didnt do this you know what they would say....

henne still sucks....so we cant say that this week so we will wait til next week when the opportunity arises. laughable

Henne the past three weeks combined:

25/37, 369 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT

Very solid numbers for Henne. The right side of the offensive line is a concern, and I hope this week they make a couple of adjustments. Perhaps finally sign O'Hara.

The right side has gone past the " concern " rung on the ladder Amigo. Its downright bad. At this point in time our starting RT would be a backup for a lot of teams and not even make a lot of teams roster.

Our starting RG, regardless of ' what he was ' or U homers, would be a backup on the majority of NFL teams. I cannot see a team at this point that would even use Carey as a starter at RT or RG.

Rookie at center trying to play the game but was evident tonight, he cannot move the larger DTs in the league, no way. It does not mean much to me that the kid runs all over the field and shows up to pick up a RB or receiver after he is tackled. He plays decent, not outstanding but if he cannot move a Larger DT, it does not matter if he is playing C, LG or RG, you can't move em, you can't move em. A position change would not change that.

I am OK with our LS of the offensive line but even then, with an ineffective right side, a team goes no where and Tampa jumped all over that tonight after our first series. They brought the house on the RS and we could not stop it. Then Da Ball, trys to run to the Right side ? Where are did the stretch plays go, where are the mis direction plays ? With a person like Bush you can break off a nice one a few times a game.

I do not like our blocking schemes and I really do not like some of the attempt to run it down their throat approach. Bush is not that type of back, Thomas does not have it yet or may not have it. I still say when we can our current Oline coach things will get better, been saying that since he got here :)

I do know one thing. If Columbo is our starting RT when the regular season starts ? Then yes, a change in coaching is surely needed somewhere becaue Columbo is not a starter material, here or anywhere else in the NFL. Want to keep him as a exp backup ? fine but it ends there. As far as Carey, like I said, dude left the building Amigo. Becoming pretty evident now right ?

Yeah the line will be the death of the '11 Miami Dolphins. Absolutely horrid.

I am baffled that nobody is blaming Henne for the play of the o-line. I figured some ******* would have spewed that garbage by now.

Well Henne didn't sack himself, it was the offensive line today. So that blame goes to the offensive line genius Tony Sparano.

3 years +
2 #1 draft picks +
1 #3 pick +
10's of millions on free agents +
1 **** erectus with a supposed acumen for the OL+
1 aging pro bowl tackle who was never nearly as good as people made him out to be

=about where we started in the first place

Figures

Yes, he does. 2 preseason games don't wipe out 2 full years of garbage. The only thing that can change it is performing consistently throughout the regular season. Don't worry, there's a ready-made excuse lined up for this year: the O-line.

Bull****. Henne had 2 INTs the first game. Where you coming up with this 0 INT crap?

Probably because people don't count those as Henne's, which is ridiculous when you use stats to prove your point. Otherwise, we would have to go back and remove any TDs and yards that were the result of the receiver (e.g. the TD in which Marshall showed why we got him). Further, to be entirely accurate, we'd have to go back through every play and note dropped INTs, dropped TDs, potential yards lost due to penalties, blah, blah, blah.

You can't qualify stats if you are going to use them in your argument, and those that think Henne is going to turn things around (sorry, but I'm not one of them) should focus on the second game of this preseason in which stats weren't his biggest triumph. It was how he managed the game and something you can only see on film.

If you don't think Henne has already shown DRAMATIC signs of turning the corner, since Daboll is calling the plays, you really should study the game of football. You are missing things. -5 Terrible post.

I still think Henne is the biggest concern, you can help out the OL with play calling....a couple of draws, screens and a reverse....those things will keep an DL honest, you can also keep in a TE to help pass protect if you have to....if your QB struggles, not much you can do but hope your defense plays great and scores a couple of times......I will say I do see an improvement in Henne and hopes it carries over to the regular season.

I must admit Daboll has helped Henne with our new offence..............
