These guys are paid to have opinions...even when the really don't have one. Truthfully, you could find something good or bad to say about every teams draft right now...it's just way to early to grade a draft. Those who knock the Miami draft say Tannehill was a reach; we really won't know for a couple years. Few people thought Tim Couch, Ryan Leaf, Todd Marinovich and Jamarcus Russell were "reaches" but they turned out in hind-sight to be busts. It seems like most draft graders give most teams C- to B+ grades. If you average them all out, most teams get a B or C grade...which is good or average..now that's going out on a limb! Then they hedge their bet and give historically good drafting teams, like The Steelers, Patriots and Green Bay high scores; they are just playing the odds!
I try to understand at this time of year, journalists/analysts need to get viewers and subscriptions. They have a job to do that is not necessarily providing thoughtful insight and analysis. It's really just "entertainment" and I must enjoy it because I watch it all too! The trick is to pull the one or two real pearls of wisdom from the hours of babble that they have to spew to fill airtime. In the meantime, I'm going to be excited for my teams future because we have a new coaching staff, a new QB and, with this much "new" comes hope. Go Phins and let's HOPE Tannehill is all Steven Ross desperately wants him to be!
