arsenal said:again QBs are expensive, david garrard, jaguars backup, started 1 game, and has been in the league 3 years now i think... and the jaguars were turning down a 2nd round pick for him... in 2001 matt hasselbeck never starting a game or throwing more than 20 attempts for green bay was traded for a 3rd round pick and they swapped 1st rounders so the packers could move up like 10 spots... and he was a former 6th round pick unproven like crazy...
QBs do not come cheap, especially one who actually got some playing time and played well last year...
I understand that, but if it comes to the point to where Volek is a distraction (Because he wants to start somewhere), which I think could very well happen (even though McNair is injury prone, Volek is 29, this is his prime, or mabey even a little past, I very highly doubt that he wants to sit another year behind McNair) then Tennesee is going to want to get him out of there, meaning we may not have to "pay" as much for him. The only other teams I would say he has a chance to start for would be here, Cleveland, Oakland, MABEY Redskins, MABEY Bucs, MABEY Chicago. The only teams out of their giving us a run would be Cleveland, who may not offer alot B/ of Frye, and Oakland. I think we could make an offer better than either of those two. Skins have Ramsey and Brunell, Bucs have Greise and Simms, and Chicago has Grossman (Volek would only be a filler for a couple of games).
