Some Dolphin games could be streamed on line for free

Hopefully it's the start of a trend; but otherwise, this isn't big news at all. NBC games are broadcasted nationally anyway as they are Sunday Night games...which we don't have this season.

If CBS and Fox started doing the same thing, then that would be great, but this isn't really anything special for now.

And I'm sure the NFL has some kind of agreement in place that CBS and Fox can't broadcast regional games nationally via the internet. It would completely undermine their NFL Sunday Ticket package.

The NFL needs to do what MLB does and offer every out of market game to be streamed for a reasonable subscription cost. If I didn't live in Miami, I'd pay a decent amount to be able to watch all their games live on my computer.

If they did that, they'd cannibalize their DirecTV revenues. Probably would also violate agreements they have in place with DTV.

I don't think we will get flexed into Sunday night this year. The only games that jump out as having a chance are the Patriots and Bills game. The Bills game will probably be protected by CBS since it's the Toronto game and the Patriots already have five national broadcast scheduled. The limit is six, and the networks will probably want to save it for the final few weeks of the season.
