Looks like Saban is starting to tilt the playing field in Feeley's direction.

Check this quote.....

"Both guys (A.J. Feeley and Gus Frerotte) are getting turns with both teams, and we are pleased with the progress that both guys are making," Saban said. "My concern is if we make a decision right now before either guy has ever played in a game for us, and make an evaluation that may not be fair to someone else. Because that's what it comes down to: who can go out and execute in a game.

See it?? Clear as day ini't?? Can't get no plainer than that, right?

What? You don't see it???

c'mon...it's right there in front of you...

Look at the end...last sentence....It all comes down to who can go out and execute in a game.....IN A GAME.

That no longer means that we are looking for who makes the least amount of mistakes in practice.

Saban's previous comments have lead people to believe that Feeley's poor practice play would get in the way of his retaining the starting job, without him actually saying that. This new stance leads people to believe that problem should no longer stand in AJ's way.

Frerottes' advantage of Feeley being a poor practice player is erased. Cleanly circumsized from the equation and Saban is the one that changed the "rules" to make it happen. Look how it says he's "concerned" about making a decision before either guy has played in a game, that's because he's knows that AJ is a gamer and he's not going to see his best play until the lights go on. He's heard all the same things about AJ that the rest of us have heard and now he's changing the criteria....Why?? Because he doesn't want to "make an evaluation that might not be fair to someone else"....Who could that "somone else" be? The guy with the rep as a bad practice player or the one without that rep??

Crystal clear.... he's leaning towards AJ.

What? We're cutting Gus???!!!!!!!!?????

Hmmm....you are kidding right?

Wow, a coach actually wants the QB that does the best in a game situation not in a meaningless practice. Lynch the b@stard!:goof:

Gus Frefrotte looks like a an a$$. He was talking like he already had the job yesterday on channel 7. I hope Feeley wins cause he deserves it. Last year he started for us even though he was injured and going through pain.

 That was a joke right? I personally dont trust AJ after last year. I know we had a terrible line BUT ive seen the tapes over and over again. Hes got the ability but man he should of had at least another 10 INTs last year! I cant judge Gus yet...never seen him play.

Gus is the ****** who broke his neck by hitting his head against the seats during a touchdown celebration. He's an idiot.

somethin about the ferotte quote on the dolphins website that made him sound (to me) like he thought he was better than the other players.

Gus Frerotte on his feelings with the teams’ grasp of the offense – ....I was in Minnesota for two years with this offense and we are kind of at the same pace. I think we are going to pick it up well. Guys still make minor mistakes, but as we go along we get a lot of practice within a month. I think we will have it down pretty good.â€Â

sounds like he's saying the other guys are making mistakes, but not him...lol

dunno, maybe just me i do like aj, but like saban said, see who looks better in game before ya pick.

I really would appreciate you finding an avatar of your own... :)

Gus is only in miami because of the offensive Co.

Saban will start Feeley. but that is just my opinion.
