Hope your right. Gus can be good. But, AJ has more potential. Course , it could be bad potential. We need to find out .
 
There is nothing in that statement that suggests either QB has an edge. If anyone says there is something, they are clearly delusional. The QB competition is open. Just like every other position. And I don't think anyone is leaning either way at this point.

Actually I think this quote from Saban tells us everything we need to know..

You know that old saying "let the best man win"?...well it doesn't apply here because cleary none of these QB's have been the best at anything. Seriously folks I'm just going to have to pick the lesser of 2 evils, it's all going to come down to a game of innie minnie miney mo. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go tell Manuel Wright he smells like doo doo.

I am. But when I said ANYONE, I meant anyone on the coaching staff. What we say or what we want doesn't matter.
 
To me both guys are inter-changable. Journeymen type of players who aren't superstars by any means. Whoever plays the best in the preseason should get the job. Let them fight it out. I see us as we have been for the past 4 years anyway, a team with a QB who we ask to NOT lose us the game.

I don't have a rooting interest in who wins the job, I just hope one of these guys step up in the next month or so and shows us they are capable of carrying the load.
 
I am just hoping at least one of them can do the job.

We will need both during the season and I am sure both will start at some point.

But you are right.The QB evaluation will be an ongoing process analyzed after GAMES starting off with the exhibition season.

OK, maybe delusional was too strong a word (maybe). But I seriously don't see any hidden message there.
