Some of you guys make me laugh.....

I know what the definition of a forum is.....but when you don't stick to the topic that someone brings up, that defeats the purpose of the forum.....

Oh, and just FYI...my initial post was not a compliment

It wasnt? I have to brush up on my sarcasm. See what I did there?

Ok. I will start a new thread for every different thought that a specific thread has inspired in me or for every time a conversation changes topics as a conversation tends to naturally do in every day face to face conversations.

It could also result in an amusing experiment. The next time you have a conversation with someone physically in the same room or even on the phone and the conversation trails off topic, awkwardly blurt out, "New topic" as a way to frame the new subject.

Your sig = never been so sad to not be a number in all of my life.
This guy feels your pain...

There are so many of you that post responces to threads on here that make me laugh and shake my head....

there are so many times on here that someone posts a thread to start a conversation about the Dolphins
and are expecting good discussion but, all they get from too many people on here is BS...

instead of commenting on the topic, people will go off topic, say something negative about the poster, etc..

and then the thread is screwed up and so far off topic that it is not worth reading or responding....

:idk:

You are absolutely right!

I dont get the big deal. 1 guy starts the forum with a topic that leads to something that leads to something else and so on. Any thread you read over 3 or 4 pages is generally off topic but still somewhat related.

The big deal is, a topic is brought up because the poster has an opinion or a question or a simple observation, then instead of commenting on the idea that was posted you get unrelated personal commets about the poster or insults. Try not commenting if all you can be is sarcastic or insulting. It's as if the comments come from people with an agenda to drive others from the board. it's frustrating, annoying and seems childish.

To an innocent bystander this may appear the case but sometimes said poster may have garnered a reputation either positive or negative that elicits an immediately reaction from the regular posters here.
The BS reaction you speak of in many cases is justified.

If a poster has started numerous threads about the same subject ... lets say 30 posts and polls on Tannehill's stats for example. One might question the need for a 31st and the motive behind it :idk:

Maybe so but some of us spend less time on here than others may and we may not have seen the first 25 or so posts. Why don't you try ignoring repetitive posts?

Ah, the millennial poster and millennial POV.

It's funny this thread reminds me of the fast food workers who think they deserve to get paid MUCH more money,

well just because...

Or of a recent NFL player...:ponder: :boohoo:

Don't expect that to change when the people running the forum are among the biggest culprits.
