Some players want Sherman out

Sherman HAS to go. He is a dinosaur who has shown very limited ability to adapt on the fly, preferring instead to make the same boneheaded mistakes over and over again.

If Philbin actually thinks Sherman is doing a good job, that's alarming. If Philbin feels so strongly about this that he is refusing to let Ross fire Sherman, then they both need to go.

Phlibin is showing loyalty....misguided, but it is what it is

of course they want him gone, they want to pass the buck as if the play on the field wasn't their fault but the OCs fault.

My read is that the natural leaders of the Offense locker room are probably Pouncey, Hartline and Tannehill. For this report to have surfaced, someone is probably talking in an off the record basis. Tannehill has been with Sherman a long time and Mike is like a father figure and mentor to him. But Tannehill is also smart enough to recognize that a lot of the play calling is ridiculously predictable and is stifling his potential. Welcome your thoughts...

Even Joe has been exasperated by some of Sherman's play calls. So why would Joe protest very much to change?

As of late Thursday afternoon, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross had made no decisions about staff changes after hours of meetings earlier in the day, but news could come as early as Friday, with Ross in favor of assistant coach changes on offense, unless he can be talked out of it by Joe Philbin. A Ross associate mentioned how openly exasperated Philbin was during games about some of Mike Sherman's play calls.

Just another mess of a situation for the Dolphins. Groundhog Day

And yet you made excuses for Sanchez how many years?

Get lost. Your Schtick got old fast

I feel I must have written "what a mess" a million times when it comes to the dolphins this past year. It's insane how poorly run this team is.

The receivers and Tannehill should be happy with this system, they are putting up nice numbers. The runningbacks have no place to talk, they're lucky they aren't on the street their pass protecting was so terrible. So it must be o-line and probably Pouncey, Clabo or Mckinnie. McKinnie would be my guess. Its possible Incognito is releasing a lot of dirt too as he still hangs with the team after hours.

Could be somebody on the defense too...

What a mess

You can say that again, this is like Ross, bumbling and fumbling the Harbaugh thing, and then as a last resort hiring Tony to a extension. If Im Ross, I Fire everyone. No excuses for not being in the Playoffs this weekend, that is why.

Defenses can dictate some throws by the looks they throw at him. Too often, he's simply not getting to the open man.
I said that during the season countless times.

This is the problem with the local sports writers, they get to COLOR public opinion and what gets used by the national media.

How is what Ross did by trying to hire Harbaugh a problem exactly?

It would have been the right hire but the guy did not want to leave CA.

The cl0wn with the local press made it out to be a joke when there was nothing funny or WRONG about what Ross did -

OR

what Ireland did either at that point.

The only reason it got such negative press is because the idi0t in the local press ridiculed it and passed it off that way, which is the way he spins every single thing that the Dolphins EVER do

Players? It's probably only 1 or 2 players. The media can blow things up so much just to get attention. However, although it's not all Sherman's fault, a lot of his play-calling leaves to be desired. Like another poster stated he does not adjust well.
