Do you realize the Dolphins only had one sack yesterday and that didn’t happen until the 4th quarter even though they were winning in blowout fashion from the 2nd quarter on . If Miami is going to play the way Fangio wants to play, without doing much blitzing, the front four has to greatly improve.
Like I said, room to grow, to get better, they absolutely do, but the most important point of a defense in my opinion is how they respond in pressure situations, and so far, they have done well.
I agree that they are not getting many sacks, but they are getting pretty consistent pressure, in time hopefully they will get better, but most importantly, they need to find ways to get off the field...Whether it be great coverage, successful pass rush, turnovers, or perfect timing tackling.
I care less about stats then results.
