Something about the D I have noticed

Do you realize the Dolphins only had one sack yesterday and that didn’t happen until the 4th quarter even though they were winning in blowout fashion from the 2nd quarter on . If Miami is going to play the way Fangio wants to play, without doing much blitzing, the front four has to greatly improve.

They allowed 13 points yesterday. I could care less if they had 1 sack or 10. We will win every single game if we only give up 13 points.

2 out of 3 games the defense has allowed less than 20 points. The defensive line pressured Wilson all game yesterday. They are fine.

Brandon Jones coming back will help. I saw he got a few snaps yesterday. The defense will be better when he is healthy enough to return full time.

He’s a decent player but do you see him starting over Elliott? I’m not sure about that

The true test will be how they perform against the Bills this weekend. I don't have a lot of faith that they will slow them down. The Dolphins are probably going to have to win in a shootout like they did against the Chargers.

Baker has played almost every snap for three different coaching regimes at this point. Are they all missing something?

Hard for anyone to miss his ineffectiveness, honestly. He’s not even average.

It’s not my schtick as much as I was just the first person to really call him out years ago for his nothingness.

And this year has been more of the same.

I bring it up because I want to trade for someone who can make a play more than once a month.

Until he’s replaced I have no choice but to bring it up.

It’s a bend don’t break defense. They did well where they held em to FGs mainly and forced turnovers. Couldn’t ask for anything more with the way that offense was playing.

I don’t think he is. Fangio was hired to fix the defense and so far the defense has been a huge disappointment. They need to play at a much higher level to compete against Buffalo. Buffalo’s defense is playing at a much higher level than Miami’s. It would be a shame to piss away such a prolific offense by having a defense that can’t even be average.

It doesn't need to be dominate, although it maybe can be like the last 2 years, just not needed yet with the O playing the way that it is.

They are still shaping into form in a new system, have seen some encouraging moments for sure. Also, just imagine if Ramsey comes back in and hits the ground running. The way the offense plays, we aren't asking a lot of the D, and that's okay for now. Essentially the gameplan seems to be NO BIG PLAYS, create turnovers (love the way this d is forcing fumbles!), let the clock bleed out...more or less

I had mentioned it before, Vics D will give up yards, but tends to limit points. Really designed to stop explosive pass Os. Plus it is a lot of zone and learning your responsible areas.

No one should be satisfied with the way the defense has played so far. The goal for this team is to win the Super Bowl this year. The defense has to get better.

So why have 3 different staffs given him virtually every snap? Were they all incompetent?

If he's truly as terrible as you say, why would anyone trade for him?

No, you're not the only one that questions Baker's value. You are the only one that brings him up on a daily basis, out of the blue, in completely unrelated conversations.

It's fine. Push your agenda if that's what you truly believe. I just find it odd that our defensive coaches past/present seem to have a completely different opinion.

And yes, you absolutely have a choice.

Our offense is forcing other teams to play more aggressively with the pass. We will be in some high scoring games such as San Diego. Expect Buffalo and Miami to be a shoot out.

Actually the Bills have been moving away from the pass and are running the ball more.
