Speculation: Suspended Players Could Be Reinstated before Sunday!

I think the NFL would be beyond dumb to pass this crap, with the entire Ray Rice drama going on.

Last thing Goodell needs on his plate is another news story about the NFL lifting suspensions on players busted for drugs because of some new deal that raises the testing positive levels etc.

Reinstating a bunch of players could change the subject away from the Rice story, and buy some good will with owners too.

You guys have some valid questions about the NFL and it's policies. Selfishly I just want two more bodies to help coach Coyle defend the Bill's. We need all hands on deck for this game.

Not sure how reinstating a bunch of players busted for doing drugs would do anything else than add more fuel to Goodell fire...fire.

Cherry on top for the media I would think.

'NFL turns a blind eye to women beaters and allows drug addicts back early from suspensions.'

Better question is, does this mean everyone suspended in previous years can retroactively seek reinbursment of lost wages? Does Josh Gordon get paid for missed games? Welker/Jones/Jordan etc?

Dolphins player rep. John Denney said it's unclear to him whether Reshad Jones & Dion Jordan would be reinstated with new drug policy.

This needs to happen soon. Gordon can resurrect my fantasy team!

I grabbed him after somebody cut him the day before the news broke about possible reinstatement stemming from the new drug policy vote. Probably one of the greatest apples to have ever fallen off the FF tree.

The @NFLPA as scheduled a vote tomorrow afternoon of the 32 player reps on the potential new drug policy, source says.

A new drug deal, if agreed upon, would bring back players who tested positive for amphetamines: Welker, Scandrick, Dion Jordan, others

Too late in the week to help Sunday IMO. However, bodies are needed going into Week 3.

Yep. Earliest they could be back is Friday, travel on Saturday. They are useless for Sunday.

Though it would be nice to get them back this week so they can back in the game plan regimen.

COULD a Jones or Jordan help cover kicks this week? Not sure what shape they are in etc. However, I am concerned about who helps on special teams as Trusnik, Jenkins and McCain get more reps.

Rumors are even if the new policy passes.

Gordon is still getting a 10 game suspension.

Just wondering, but where did you read that? I've seen very little and what I have has said his suspension for the DUI would only be 2-4th games.

They could definitely help on special teams which would be huge in giving those guys a breather.
