Spielman must GO TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the problem...

there will still be "people" trying to defend Rick Spielman even though he has done absolutely nothing here.

He has drafted poorly...
He has not signed one really significant free agent...
and his calling card trade blew up in his face...

:fire:

What the heck is wrong with you people?

Look at this OL and tell me that he did a good job building it. With the possible exception of James, who Carolina let go to Miami, there is no proven talent or experience and that's what Rick put together.

Call it a feeding frenzy, or whatever. I call it truth.
Call it whatever you like. The fact is that Rick went after the top FA's for our OL but they wanted too much money and signed elsewhere. You honestly expected Spielman to break the bank in order to sign ONE offensive lineman and NOT be able to address our other needs? Remember, this isn't baseball. We actually have a salary cap in which to work under and Rick has done a damned fine job bringing talent in and making sure that our talent stays put for future seasons. You want the truth? You can't handle the truth.:D

when your owner says you have an open check book, go spend, then yes its the FO's fault

This guy actually traded what will turn out to be the 33rd pick in the draft for A.J. Feeley...

unbelievable...yet he gets a free pass around here.

Start Over...Please!Please!Please!

Come on guys we all knew that the Offense was going to be a work in progress until at least midseason. It may be a work in progress all year.

The jury wont be able to give a solid verdict on Feeley until the end of the year. It's a brand new offense, new team and he's a young player.

The OL is a disaster. You want to blame someone on that just remember that it was GM Wanny that controlled all the moves before this year.
Wade Smith is the OL's version of Jerry Wilson!

I still think Rick did a good job in the first phase of his tenure.
He made great moves to make us even have a shot at being competitive.
The OL was just too damn big a job to restock this year. Remember that this team has refused to address this position for a long time now. I don't think it's fair to expect Rick Speilman to have rebuilt that whole unit one offseason.

Fiedler is down, Wanny should be shown the door next and then we could REALLY start rebuilding this team for a shot at next year hopefully.

...wtf are you talking about? Even if the owner had an "open check book" you still have to abide to the salary cap. Not baseball.....just cuz ur tem has money, doesnt mean u can use it:shakeno: .

Why did you put people in quotes???

So if OLine was our most deficient position...WHY IS DRAFTING THE BEST AVAILABLE OLINEMAN A POOR PICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man you are crazy! Did you evr think in the head coach, and the offesensive coaches, not on the same page? hey come up with some solutions rather then saying its Rick! You took the easy way out! Dave is more at fault! Maybe when you take off those pointing the blame rose colored glasses off, you will relaize, that Rick has tried to get players to help the best he possibly can, I believe that its the coaching that continues to let this team down. Yes now Rick must go to Wayne, and say we need to move forward, and Dave isn't in those plans!:fire:

hey hot shot!!! you spend the money where it needs to be and it was on offense...you know there are ways to make it work...it all came down to signing bonuses for most fa's

Because the OL he picked...

STINKS.

This shouldn't even be debated.
If you want to go smoke something with Ricky go ahead...

but there is no defending Wanne or this GM.

I should be asking you what is wrong with you. So, he drafted poorly? In case you didn't know, EVERY draft pick is a crap shoot and we happened to have found some real talent. Yeah, it's too bad that Carey couldn't start this season but Poole, Bua and others certainly make up for that. Besides, give Carey a bit more time and he should be a starter.

And you think Rick hasn't signed even ONE significant FA? Why should I even bother responding to such a moronic statement? Got some names for you......

Boston and Booker (not to mention that he sealed the extension on Chambers)

What the heck...........what IS wrong with you?

This is not Rick's Fault. I blame today's loss and the offense's eneptness to Dave Wannstadt. He took too long to make a decison on the QB. He juggled the offensive line around and his play calling just sucks. Those are the mistakes of this year. Mistakes over the past 4 years are catching up. I, for one, would gladly fire Dave and start the rebuilding process now. Give Feeley a chance and allow the Defensive stars to heal.

I'm yet to make a decision on Rick. I agree 100% on the AJ thing, I don't know how he'll pan out but a 2nd rd pick for him was alot, it's hard to believe Detroit wouldn't of gave up Mike McMahon for a 2nd rd pick. About the Oline, I blame him on one thing 100% as of RIGHT NOW, and that's signing Damion Mcintosh when he was hurt, now Mcintosh should start this week hopefully. Boston you couldn't of predicted getting hurt. If none of the offensive coaches return next season it wouldn't be a bad thing, the only coach that should come back is Bates. This team does not need much IMO, the defense is ridiculous, they've given up 1 td in 2 games while missing Bowens, we're probably gonna have a good pick in the draft and I don't know what Rick will go for, let's just say AJ doesn't pan out this team needs to go QB, if AJ does pan out I gotta believe you look at Cedric Benson or Michael Munoz, or if they can sign Edge which i don't think will happen take a LONG look at Derrick Johnson-the best player in college football, who plays OLB for Texas. This season could get ugly real quick.
