Spielman must GO TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you guys think our offense would be better with all Dave's guys in there?

Wade Smith, Jamie Nails, Ruddy, Perry, Todd Wade? Thompson and Chambers? Minor, Fiedler and McMike?

That would be our offense. Think that Nails, Ruddy, and Perry would do better?

Hmmm.... Can't really argue with that. Half the time it looked like they were confused and that smells of bad coaching. WIse would probably say he hasn't had the line for long enough, but they look lost out there for the second week in a row. I'd say part of that has to be coaching, though clearly at least a couple of the guys (smith?) just stink.

Funny how everyone is on St. Clair to be benched. I didn't study the film, but St. Clair seemed ok, which on this line means starter.

Really, its a sad situtation and its just too late to fix. We are going to sink or swim with these coaches and these players.
They absolutely did look lost...The play I think we'll all remember until next season (like Freeney beating Smith last year) was the block that Smith whiffed on a lone LB blitzing the end...A play so muffed that the announcers actually did a replay to comment on...Smith didn't know who to block there...which again may be due to a lack of talent, but also must be recognized as a deficiency in coaching...an Olineman should never be in a position so unfamiliar that he doesn't know WHO TO BLOCK!!! That's crazy...they either get beat or they don't...but to not know who to block???? Horrible coaching...It looked like he had never been in that situation before...

Even our new (supposed) Oline leader James got a billion and a half holding penalties over the last two games...My biggest problem is what are we going to do with these guys??? Scratch the whole line again in the offseason??? What if they don't "gell" as the new word being passed around goes...Even if we get the first pick in the draft and get a Robert Gallery type lineman, the chances of him being effective, or even starting are slim...I see this as a problem for the Dolphins for the next 2 years, maybe longer...

to me rick is an extention of DW, if dave goes he should as well and start with a clean slate.
Hmmmm, if Rick is an extension of DW then why was the GM position offered to other men BEFORE Rick? Yeah, that makes alot of sense. Regardless of what so many believe, Spielman is not Dave's lapdog.

Tait didn't want to come to S Florida because it wasn't conducive to his religious beliefs, as the report goes...I understand overpaying to get the job done, but signing Woody was outright OUTRAGEOUS, especially if we actually had to outdo what Detroit paid for him. I don't know about Kendall, but I think that his presence would not have done much last night, and then all the RS haters would have called him out for overpaying...when the DLine gets through that often and with that much ease, it is clearly a deficiency of OLine scheme and planning...that was horrific..

What I'm saying is that we would have had future salary cap issues next year IN ADDITION to having a crappy team this year...and who knows who we wouldn't have been able to get that we did get had we signed Woody..
Yet so many here are either to slow or simply refuse to understand this. It isn't like Rick hasn't tried to build an OL. Besides, how much would that ONE big name have helped the entire line?

Maybe not a lap dog but they are joined at the hip.Dont you remember before the draft when Wanny was asked about how things would be done differently during the draft and he replied that nothing would be different. What is wrong with that statement.?Thats right he is no longer in charge of the draft and he should have referred that question to Rick.?Its a two headed monster and both heads need to be cut off IMO

I agree, Spielman's isn't Dave's lapdog but is to the guy who signs his paycheck. For good or bad Wayne doesn't want the Fins to go into anything remotely resembling a "rebuilding" year. This forces Rick to make trades and personnel moves to try and keep the team good when the best choice may be to make no moves and try to build a great team.
Rick may be a bust (NOBODY can say for sure after only 2 games and less than a year as GM!) but the strategy that's forced his hand comes from the boss, not DW.

I'm not so sure. Wayne seems to be a hands-off kind of owner (as opposed to Jerry Jones of Dallas). I just think that the problems snowballed on Rick before he could even get the GM seat warm. Granted, he knew that there were things that needed to be fixed before he stepped into this position but I am quite certain that he was not remotely ready for what happened since he was hired. We are not in a position where rebuilding is a realistic option as our defense is getting older. This would explain why Rick went after the best FA OL he could and drafted the best OL on the boards at our pick. He hoped to get talent that could come in a make an immediate impact. The ONLY thing that I still wonder about was the McIntosh signing. I stand by my assertion that he has done the best he can given the circumstances. I also believe that it is too early to be calling for his head. I say give him a couple of years to work with this team. I think that we will be pleasently surprised. Dave and Co. (with exception of Trestmen, Bates and Sullivan) are free to leave at any time.....preferrably before they hit the locker room after the last play of the last game this season.

I just don't know who these people are that say RS didn't do enough...as if they were asleep during the entire offseason...and as if they weren't watching the game last night...RW retires, Boston goes down and what does RS do...he trades a guy asking for too much money, whom we got for nothing, for a probowl recever (to replace Boston) and a decent runningback (for Williams)...our OLine stinks mostly because of coaching, anyone that saw the BENGALS tear us up last night to the point of ineptitude would know that...Our Oline isn't anything special, but guess what, neither are the Bengals...it should have been a wash...why wasn't it...hmmm...Did RS do anything about our deficient OLine last year...umm, how about completely revamp it and spend our only first round pick on the best available option. Ya I know, we should have broke the bank on Woody, what a great idea...I'm sure he would have made a HUGE difference last night:rolleyes: ...and if we did, everyone would be calling for RS's head for spending too much...

Really the Broncos traded a measly 3rd round pick for 2 Super Bowls.
They also traded there dignity, and tainted the SB rings. I cant believe your actually implying this wasnt a bad idea by the Broncos...Its good to see how much you condone cheating to get what you want:shakeno: .

when your owner says you have an open check book, go spend, then yes its the FO's fault

I can give you an open check book as well, the problem is there's only $11.10 in there right now, so this solves nothing.
