Sports Illustrated: lydon murtha adamant incognito never bullied martin

That is a good point.

Hard Knocks was here there and everywhere last year.

If there was anything out of the ordinary going on they would have seen it and filmed it and SURELY would have used it

How long was Murtha with this current staff.....wasn't he cut well before the season started?

I will laugh so hard if Joe is exonerated by Hard Knocks. Joe clearly didn't want to have to deal with that, it was pretty obviously forced on him by Steve Ross...

Of course, if it winds up being his downfall, then...

if your negative about the teams chances of winning. that's a debbie downer. true or not your being negative

Well Im not going to insult your intelligence because thats what your being fed and believe but thats not what a Debbie Downer is.
It would be like if we were doing really well and all I brought up was negative stuff. When was the last time we were doing well, I mean unless u feel 7-9 is a good result year after year.
Only an idiot believes there team is going to win every week when they have no exhibited any level of that kind of play.
Now dont mistake wishing and believing. I want the dolphins to win ever week but no I dont beleive they will win every week.
Now maybe if we are a 7-9 team and I believe we will lose every week then I might be a debbie downer

"Im voted Debbie Downer because for one some people on this board are not smart enough to even know what the term means and mainly because I dont always have a popular opinion.
Popular not to be confused with being right."

You CLEARLY stated you were RIGHT

No i didnt jesus . I said poplular is not to be confused with being right.
Which means just because something that is said is popular doesnt mean its right.
Cmon I know you have to truly understand what I said.

weak minded? I have an issue with claiming that. nothing wrong with his mind, now if you mean weak willed, that's possible, however I think he knew he couldn't compete at this level, and wasn't comfortable being a gay man in the locker room and started looking for an out. you don't save voice mails for 7 months for no reason.

Well here is my question. If he couldnt compete on this level why the hell did he start every game he ever played for the dolphins. He obviously could compete at this level up to that point.
I wouldnt doubt he is gay and there is a much bigger issue here

Didn't they document all the rookie hazing and really make lite of it. I'm sure those HBO's guys would have been appalled if a) it went too far and b) it was terribly different negatively from the other teams they covered.

I didn't hear the interview, but Murtha was on with Boomer and Carton on WFAN in NY and was apparently killing Martin.

After reading that article I am totally on Incognitos side. The fact that the Dolphins suspended him is a joke.

They had no choice. If they did nothing, could you imagine the public outcry?!? Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would be in South Florida within the hour. I'm surprised they're not already...

He never said that the coaches ordered Richie to bully him. In fact, what he said was, "That’s why the coaches told the leaders, bring him out of his shell. Figure him out a little bit."

And if Murtha also says that Richie was the farthest thing from a bully, please tell me how that's an indictment of the coaches creating a bullying situation?

Honest question. This is not a knee jerk reaction to defend the staff.
the issue with punishing Richie before all the facts even came out.

There's competeing and there is dominating. He's a guy who is or was highly competitive at the college level and he's smart enough to know he won't do that at the NFL level.

They had to. In fact, what they did is actually helpful to Richie in a strange way. They forced the union to get involved. As I have been saying since the beginning, the ONLY party with the ability to protect Richie, if he is truly innocent of malicious actions here, is the NFLPA.

Nothing, NOTHING that management says or does can shield Richie.

Probably because they know its BS. Yeah good old Rev. Al could use this like another Tawana Brawley case and look like the fool he is AGAIN.

well were not talking about dominating you said competing. We have only one lineman on the entire roster that can dominate. He obviously can play at NFL level and he showed he is an NFL starter either that or we have the dumbest staff in the NFL
