Spragan benched....Channing starter

Surprising, I thought Spragan was a lock to start with Channing backing up all three.

So did I. In every game I seen Donnie play, he has been around the football. I thought he had a very nice camp and preseason.

he did, this was just a case of hm playing good, and crowder playing better... its a good problem to have.... too bad we didnt encounter that with the QBs

According to the article, it says Crowder is moving inside with ZT, and Seau to the outside in a 3/4, so whos the other starting lb?

Jason Taylor.

I'm confused. It said Crowder will be starting in the 3-4 only? SO Spragan is still the starter in the 4-3?

After rereading this, has anything actually changed? If we go 3-4, than don't both start, with Crowder inside and Spragan on the outside? If Crowder has taken his spot when we're 4-3, than that would be an actual change. But it doesn't say anything about that. hmmmm...

Here:
4-3-Seau/Zach/Crowder

3-4- Seau/Zach/Crowder/Taylor

This is a good thing.Crowder is proving to be very versatile playing all three LB positions.Spragan is being moved around to see where else he can fit in.I am sure both are in Saban's plan.

Why wouldn't we start Spraghan over Seau?

Because the coaching staff apparently likes Seau better. Seau is a better pass rusher then Spraghan, imo.

Im guessing Jason Taylor?

The article DID confuse me a little. I thought the same thing then I guess JT is considered a LB now?

Spragan was playing VERY well.

Yeah, that would make sense. It just didn't say anything about the 4-3 in the article. I'm glad to get Crowder in there. He can be a playmaker. Spragan looked really good in preseason too so I'm sure he'll still be on the field a lot too. I'm very pleased with our LB's.

Because Seau's better? He may be old but he can still play.
