Stadium bill approved by the House

There's data to back me up, such as pathetic ticket sales and the lowest tv ratings in the league by a significant margin.

Its been that way since I started watching the Fins in the early 80s. There were times when we were a playoff team and faced regular blackouts.

Barry jackson mentioned it a while ago we sunk below the jags this season

That doesn't tell me anything, the Jags could have the highest TV ratings for all I know.

Says a bunch of people on message boards.

Eh, I'm a homer and I have no vitriol for Ross personally. I think he has done some good things to go along with the bad.

But he definitely has no credibility in the football world.

You just don't get money.

Or I think that we have problems in this country when we look down on people that actually need a helping hand to survive but have no problem happily giving money to someone who has more money than he will ever need in 100 lifetimes...

I dont fault him for having money...I dont, he is an amazing man for having made it...I fault the logic that he should make more money on the public's dime...You know like hell he will never pay a red cent of the borrowed money back and the studies show that the money made in a big event like the superbowl does not have the financial windfall they tell you it does for ordinary people or even the city...

you should probably show the data, before you speak of it. because now you don't have any credibility...

http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Daily/Issues/2014/01/14/Research-and-Ratings/NFL-local.aspx

which shows the Giants, Jets, and Raiders with worse TV ratings than the Dolphins.

Also, the dolphins are ranked 21st in attendance for home games. Percentage wise, they are ranked 30th, but i think that has to do with the stadium being so damn big.

That's real sad..since I consider Joe Robbie to be a real small stadium...and selling it out is always a problem,..and don't get me started about the Cane's attendance.

their stadium is the 7th largest in the nfl and can expand to be the 5th largest. definitely not small.

I'm comparing it to SEC stadiums...Bryant-Denny to be the specific. Joe Robbie is used for college also.

there are 31 stadiums larger than miami's, in the US. including college and nfl and any sport, really. still not small, seeing as there are over 100 stadiums in the US that are smaller.

edit: those figures also include nascar speedways.

(1) We have to put a better product on the field (Dolphins and Canes)..Canes need to build their own on-campus stadium-(never wil happen)
(2) Bring the fans closer to the field...the layout now is horrible
(3) Some kind of roof system----take away th "it's to hot" excuse.

Don't know where the money would come from..don't care...just do it.

If the NFL would change the blackout rule..the size wouldn't matter....but something HAS to be done with Joe Robbie..something.

what excuse will take away, I prefer to sit on my couch in my house and watch my HD TV, eat whatever i want for less than highway robbery and then not have to deal with the driving or parking or drunk a-holes...

they need to lower the price a WHOLE LOT until they start winning playoff games before i will spend money on them again...i know their tickets are some of the cheapest in the NFL but its still in that range where the product is no where near the price...
