start Sage Rosenfels!!!

The guy is a 3rd string QB in a disasterous QB situation. He's complete garbage, and he's had ample time in Washington and Miami to prove he can actually help a team.

Hasn't happened yet, and therefore he will continue to be garbage until further notice.

He's had ample time to prove he can help the team? Really!?! Thank God your view isn't widely held and is not popular. Sage did better than either Gus or AJ tonight - he had people out there hustling. Forget which string was playing - he showed the rudimentary fundamentals a QB should have "he's complete garbage - shuuuu, as if you have a handle on the situation.
- freaking AJ continues to stare down his primary receiver and rarely looks off (he was one of the biggest and most costly mistakes made by an inept front office of days gone by). Gus? Who can explain him - he has no excuses. But Sage can offer this team a lot and at the very least he should move to #2on the depth chart and possibly even #1. If you can't get the top people to respond, rpelace them. There is no earthly reason not to start Sage.:yell:

We brought Gus in to spark AJ and give him time to develop - well, Sage is already head and shoulders above AJ, so what does that say? It says, step up and let him give it a shot - we dang sure can't do any worse and at the very least we'll know if he can produce with the first team.:fire:

Of course that's just my 2 cents.:goof:

The Atlanta announcers are saying, "I'm not kissing up to the guy. But Sage Rosenfels out of Iowa State has looked better than the other two guys".

They also have mentioned when he's looked off the safeties and that he's shown a good command of what the Dolphins want to do on offense. Maybe last year's Baltimore game wasn't a fluke (where Sage showed MUCH more command than Feeley).

When he's played, Sage has generally shown good pocket presence. Has this been the case tonight??

Also keep in mind the game was against Baltimore with Ray Lewis and that nasty D. The fact that he was able to do anything and starting for the first time is remarkable. All the Fins have are backups but someone has to start.

Saban likes Sage. I think he is the reason we didnt want Davey and I dont care what anyone says, I think Saban isnt even thinking Couch.

I am alllll for starting Sage, do it. Hes younger than Feeley and IMO now I believe better.

If at the start of preseason you told me id be on the sage bandwagon i would think you were crazy. However, I have to agree. He has outplayed the others and why not give him a shot? Neither of the other guys are elading us anywhere anyway.

Wow that makes me feel alot better that a career 3rd stringer outplayed our career backup in the 5th and final preseason game of the year. (Against a team in Atlanta, whom we have later on this year, we're not exactly opening up the playbook) Sage hasn't done a single thing in the NFL. At least Frerotte produced in Minnesota when given the chance in Linehan's offense.

As for the rest of your post... It's all your opinion, which is fine, but I don't have to agree with it. I'm not gonna call you out on it and insult you because of it.

P.S. It's a thing called practice, Sage has had AMPLE time to prove he can help this team, hasn't showed it yet. I can see your theory of Sage leapfrogging AJ on the depth chart, but to go from 3rd string to starting because of one meaningless preseason game is ridiculous.

i dont get how u figure that 200+ yards 2 td's and no int's is garbage... sure the guy has the occasional interception but not one every single game like our other potential "starters" as far as im conserned our "starters" are garbage gus was 2for3 and feeley had and int returned for a td they stink

All of our QB's are garbage, Gus just stinks the least. You really think Sage should leapfrog both AJ and Gus (the numbers look like he didn't even play tonight) because of one meaningless preseason game?? I can see Sage moving up the depth chart to backup, but wanting the guy to start is purely asinine.

preseason stats:

Frerotte: 35/77 394 yards 44.6% comp 1 TD 1 INT rating 59.7
Rosenfels: 34/52 369 yards 65.4% comp 4 TD 1 INT rating 90+

you tell me that my opinion is garbage because he's trash? i say "well, i have the stats to prove it"

Gus has done nothing to earn the starting job. Sage has proven he is capable, or at least serviceable.

Rosenfels should get a shot....

A.J sucks and Gus sucks.....

Let see what can Rosefenls do.

And I trust in Saban's decision to keep Sage in a backup role, whether that be 3rd string or 2nd string.

It's preseason, I really put no merit into those so-called stats. The fact is Frerotte has produced in Linehan's system.

I want my 2nd round pick back.

A.J. Feeley will NEVER start for a Nick Saban team unless due to injuries. Sage will DEFINATELY be #2 on the depth chart opening day. Anyone care to place a wager on that? Ante up.
