start Sage Rosenfels!!!

i still cant process that we gave up a 2nd round pick for feeley which was basically a late 1st round pick. We could have gotten a better quarterback through free agency for free. But thats on another subject. What I want though is to see what Rosenfels can do. We have seen in this preseason that he can help this team out. Why not try him with the first team offense? He could not do any worse than what Frerotte and Feeley have done. Sage may not have the rocket arm or even the best athleticism but he is definately the smartest quarterback on this team. He doesnt make all the stupid plays that Frerotte and Feeley have made. Orton is a rookie starting this year. Why cant we start Rosenfels since he has been better than all our other quarterbacks. We know for sure he is much better than the other 3rd string quarterback we have on the team.

At this point I really don't care anymore. All i know is that the likelihood of Frerotte starting the entire season is not statistically high, so at least one of the other guys might get a start, and hopefully Sage. I think Sage won't be starting at Denver because it will show how desperate we are, and how unlikely it is that we are gonna have a winning season. I could see us starting Sage down the road at some point this season anyway.

NO HE DIDNT! Tom Brady beat the Pats!
Yea right!!!??That's what all teams say that don't want to admit that they were just beat by a 4-12 team. "Well if we hadn't made the mistakes we would have won...YEA well if WE hadn't made all the mistakes we wouldn't have been 4-12!!! THE DOLPHINS BEAT THE PATS!!! STRAIGHT UP.

I think SAGE will be just as bad if not worse ( true it couldn't hurt that much more to give him a shot) He plays against third stringers and looks good but I'm willing to bet if you put Feeley or Gus in with the third stringers they would look like Marino.I say we go with Gus and give him a few games in the reg season and then make a call. But give him an honest shot to lead this team. It's PRE-SEASON people..Everyone is so quick to start pushing the panic buttons...The PATS just got WHOOPED by someone can't think of it off the top of my head...but anyway their not FREAKING OUT. Wait until reg season and the by the third or fourth game if it's the same we can all get together and have a pity party.ok?

seriously I am really disappointed on the way Feeley and Frerotte have played. Why not give Sage a chance. He has never really gotten a fair chance to start. Quite frankly he couldnt do any worse than these guys. Sage is a good player. He just doesnt get the credit and apparently cant do any worse than what our quarterbacks have been doing this preseason. They have been way to inconsistent.

Chaulk me up in the "What do we have to lose" column? Start him, give him a year to see what we have. If our record stinks, use the high pick on a QB.

Steve

I say why the heck not. Both Gus and AJ have proved that they don't have what it takes to be a good starting QB for this team or any team. This is likely our rebuilding year anyway. But i am sure that Saban is going to be watching ALOT of game tape of Sage this week.

get those glasses off man, take a look at it objectively for once.

Brady does not throw 4 INTs, the Pats win, end of story

I think he wants the job

Sages seems to want it more.

The same can be said for most Miami's losses last year: "Feeley does not throw 3 INTs (1 retruned for a TD), the Fins win, end of story." Five or 6 of the Fins losses last year were by a Pick 6. A win is a win. A loss is a loss.

I'm all in favor of starting Gus actually. He had a bad game against Tampa, but he's a more competent QB than A.J.

Sage I think deserved a better chance before TC started. He has more talent than the other two that's for sure.

Also keep in mind the game was against Baltimore with Ray Lewis and that nasty D. The fact that he was able to do anything and starting for the first time is remarkable.

Isn't that the truth. I always wondered what would happen if Sage got significant time in a regular season game. Yes, he threw some interceptions. But he also moved the offense, threw for well over 200 yards, and the Dolphins only lost by 7. It should also be noted that Baltimore had everything to play for in that game because if they won and another team or two lost, they would have made the play-offs (although that ended up not happening).

If I was Saban I would make Gus the starter, Sage #2 and Feeley #3. If Gus stinks up the game in the first half against the Broncs then I would bring in Sage for the 2nd half and see how that goes. If Sage does not play any better then Gus would be the starter for the rest of the year barring any injuries.

If you were Saban you would be home typing on this message board saying that if you were "joe smegeggie" you would do <Insert bad football decision here> .
