Did anyone say that it wasnt going to hurt us??? I may have missed it somewhere........

I dont think losing Knight hurts us. Surtain yes, but there was nothing we could do. Sammy Knight was nothing special imo

yes the whole last page....someone didnt get his mid afternoon nap?

edit: knight

LOL, but your losses of Troy Brown, Patten, Andruzzi, Brushci, Ty Law, and the two big hits of Weis and Crennel dont hurt you guys..... I see how this works!!!?

I think some Pat's fans are in for a rude awakening...... no doubt you guys have had great teams the last few years, but it looks like it could be downhill from here.....

law wasnt even playing for most of last season, patten was a decent 3rd wr but hes replaced with terrell who will have a decent season and at least put up the same type patten numbers, andruzzi is gone but in comes logan mankins who is a nasty off lineman . troy will resign with the pats hes already worked out something with bill b and the org, thats why you havent heard a word about teams looking at him...

losing bruschi will hurt but the pats have capable replacements to help fill the void...

as far as the coords, mangini stayed and he knows the entire defense and system. off coord maybe picked up but if not then bill b will call the plays with help....

funny, each season after winning the sb the pats lose key players each offseason, when ted wash and woody left along with bobby hamilton and others people kept saying noway they can win it again, but the pats play like no other team in the NFL. as a complete unselfish group not interested in the limelight, just caring about winning more lombardis.

the only rude awakening that will happen is when you guys go 5-11 this year, you guys have no off line at all, they are pathetic!!! whos going get brown free???? not that o line....

you have a new coach and you still have a loser for a qb, u guys will never win the east let alone the sb with aj. hes a LOSER period....
u guys go and get a real qb then you will be on to great things in 2-3 years from now..... aj IS HOLDING THE PHINS BACK

i know most on here agree with me but they wont come here and admit it....

i for one and hoping AJ stays 10 more years as dolphins starting qb!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's an even better way to look at it.

Most replacements for that list are either better or more athletic with more potential.

1. Kevin Carter, Matt Roth
2. Ronnie Brown
3. (doesn't really matter with new system, but Heath Evans)
4. AJ Feeley
5. Tebucky Jones
6. He still may come back.
7. we may look at Lance Schulters
8. only true loss, but it was a necessary move.
9. Channing Crowder
Now there you go, we got rid of some decent starters but we picked up even better people.

1. traded for starting wr and little loss at DE
2. whatayagunnado!
3. rarely truly started due to injury and underachieved
4. it was time
5. a stop gap that didn't impress
6. How can you call him a starter?
7. eh
8. sad, but smart business move
9. overpriced

Can't say any really sadden me.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Correct on all nine.

I was just thinking about how many starters we have lost in the past 12 months
its crazy!

1.o-gun
2.ricky
3.konrad
4.fiedler(a good loss)
5.knight
6.boston
7.freeman
8.surtain
9.greenwood

Make it 15 months (the start of last years free agency) and add to your list starters RT Wade & G Nails not resigned and C Ruddy, S Marion, & G Perry cut.

Mankins hasn't proven s*it in this league. The only thing that has been proven about this guy is that it was a STRETCH for the Patriots to grab him in the first round.

As far as offensive line concerns -- see Hudson Houck.

I'll trust Saban's opinion on AJ over some Patsy fan that doesn't know jacks*it when it comes to Feeley.

Dude what is it with you and building up these players like Mankins and Terrell who haven't proven anything in this league yet? Terrell is a piece of garbage and will continue to be until further notice.

Mankins could be good, but is far from a sure thing. Why don't you get off your high horse for two seconds and think objectively.

As for our losses in the secondary hurting us.. this is true.

But the Patriots losses are going to hurt them much more when it comes to the secondary. Will Poole and/or Sam Madison would be the best corner on your team, at least we got some depth there.

I wouldn't be jumping up and down if Tyrone Poole was my best corner.

first of all forgive me but who is 0-gun? I still feel wierd about fiedler the guy had like the highest winning % of any Qb for quite awhile so he's got a weeny arm but at least he cared and played w/ some heart and passion. wanny got a raw deal but Im happy for the change GONICK!! Boston possibly could be the most overated player since warren sap so as I see it and this is just me, we have only lost surtain, freeman, konrad, and greenwood. that huts but I think we'll live.

I just saw this now....a week later.... you lost Crennel and Weis(lets see how belly does without them)....good luck.... thats on top of all the players you lost. I realize we have a new coach (who has some great coaches along side of him), and I realize Feeley is our starter. I'll just say good luck, b/c u guys are on the down slide now.....as much as you dont wanna see that. I will give you guys all the props in the world for the last few seasons, u guys have had great team players and have had great coaches, hell u guys won 3 of the last 4, but this year my friend will be different, Honestly Brady, imo, will not look anything like Montana or a future hall of famer, lets just wait and see. I am not one to think we will go and win a SB this year or anything, but you all wont either, and we will probably be in the hunt together in the middle of the AFC east.

i dont see how losing a bunch of starters off of a terrible 4-12 team is a bad thing...
