starters lost... wow

tebuckey jones has nothing left, he looked incredibly old and slow last year.

losing knight and surtain will hurt your team bigtime....
But I guess if the Dolphins would have signed these 2 guy's they would have looked old and slow as well????
:rolleyes2
I don't think that anyone would dispute that losing Surtain will change the Defense but isn't that what most people were predicting when belichick released L Milloy??
:lol2:

Perhaps he has nothing left, but he led the Saints in tackles with 101, an INT and fumble force and recovery....Now, this doesn't mean he'll lead our team in tackles or even be one of the stars, but it does mean that the guy is productive. His numbers at NO match the numbers that Knight gave us...But we all KNOW that SK is very slow and has nothing left.

Will the loss of Surtain hurt ?? Yes, you don't lose a guy of his playing stature and assume all will be well. But with a different D scheme that Saban employs, the emphasis on great cover guys on the corners is reduced with more zones and disguised coverages (something our D has NEVER done since JJ took over). Losing Poole is the major loss as he was being touted as the heir apparent to the CB position...IMO, I wasn't sold on Poole. Howard was a starting CB for a SB team...He was played to his weakness when he played last year (nickel/dime packages), and he was never going to unseat PS or SM since they are Wanny's boyz and noone ever takes the spot of a Wanny boy (and we experienced that for 4 years).

June 1 cuts are coming, we have a little cap space left and possible cuts too. My concerns are for DT and SS rather than the aforementioned players replacements.

the only rude awakening that will happen is when you guys go 5-11 this year, you guys have no off line at all, they are pathetic!!! whos going get brown free???? not that o line....

you have a new coach and you still have a loser for a qb, u guys will never win the east let alone the sb with aj. hes a LOSER period....
u guys go and get a real qb then you will be on to great things in 2-3 years from now..... aj IS HOLDING THE PHINS BACK

i know most on here agree with me but they wont come here and admit it....

i for one and hoping AJ stays 10 more years as dolphins starting
qb!!!!!!!!!!!
:shakeno:
Would YOU like to back up this spew with CASH ??????
You have NO clue as to what the Phins O-line will be like... For some time now the quality of the coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball has been weak to say the least..
And considering what H Houck has done / did with a weak Charger line, even a J Fiedler would have prospered behind that Charger O-line last season!!

With YOUR pats losing both Weis and Crennel the changes are going to affect everything that is said and done in the game planning..
It is going to be very interesting how Brady handles belichick as an O coordinator that to me will be very curious to watch!!!

With belichick not naming an O Coordinator the offensive production alone will suffer from his conservative nature!!! Your patsies have a ton of question marks that YOU are unwilling or to blind to admit....

law wasnt even playing for most of last season, patten was a decent 3rd wr but hes replaced with terrell who will have a decent season and at least put up the same type patten numbers, andruzzi is gone but in comes logan mankins who is a nasty off lineman . troy will resign with the pats hes already worked out something with bill b and the org, thats why you havent heard a word about teams looking at him...

losing bruschi will hurt but the pats have capable replacements to help fill the void...

as far as the coords, mangini stayed and he knows the entire defense and system. off coord maybe picked up but if not then bill b will call the plays with help....

funny, each season after winning the sb the pats lose key players each offseason, when ted wash and woody left along with bobby hamilton and others people kept saying noway they can win it again, but the pats play like no other team in the NFL. as a complete unselfish group not interested in the limelight, just caring about winning more lombardis.

You can only hope that you have capable replacements for Bruschi. As far as O-lines go: I wouldn't trade Miami's young talent at O-line for the Patriots's o-line. The Pats aren't exactly dominant in that department, and that could turn out to be a problem as the season wears on. Miami's line figures to get better because they are so young. For you to say they have no o-line is just plain uninformed.

if bellichick is calling the offensive plays, that is good for everyone playing the pats. everyone has already seen the results of the pats draft without weis and cronnel (l. mankins in the 1st round?, a bunch of other reaches).
jmo
the loss of surtain, miami will miss.
ricky hurt because it was so close to camp that miami couldn't replace him
ogun? D. bowens had a better year at 1/10 the salary
greenwood? did he ever come up with any plays? i like spragans and crowder
boston? hard to consider him as a loss when he never played (may this year)
konrad? injured a lot, i liked him coming out of syracuse, but he never did much
freeman/knight? i don't see much difference between them and t. jones/tavares

Look, only the pats are allowed to put their Rookies in the probowl. in fact when it comes to the draft every player the pats draft is better the any player anyone else drafts. Don't you see, the pats never lose any player that they don't replace with a better player. LOL Mankins, dude when was the last time a late 1st (remember he was a reach at this spot)OLineman made a positive impact in his rookie season.

Here's an even better way to look at it.

Most replacements for that list are either better or more athletic with more potential.

2. Ronnie Brown
You should get slapped, there is no way this guy has more potential then ricky did. you guys are so effen biased.

pats did reload:

david terrel
chad brown
duane starks

those are solid additions to a SB teams, real talk. A SB team we beat so we will be ready!!!

Division rivals dont care about records or whos on the team. I love that the SB champs are in the AFC east....BRING IT!!!

I just saw this now....a week later.... you lost Crennel and Weis(lets see how belly does without them)....good luck.... thats on top of all the players you lost. I realize we have a new coach (who has some great coaches along side of him), and I realize Feeley is our starter. I'll just say good luck, b/c u guys are on the down slide now.....as much as you dont wanna see that. I will give you guys all the props in the world for the last few seasons, u guys have had great team players and have had great coaches, hell u guys won 3 of the last 4, but this year my friend will be different, Honestly Brady, imo, will not look anything like Montana or a future hall of famer, lets just wait and see. I am not one to think we will go and win a SB this year or anything, but you all wont either, and we will probably be in the hunt together in the middle of the AFC east.

we lost some players but we always lose players, we have a 1/3 turnover every year since winning it all in 2001... this is nothing new, but we added big key fa's and are still adding them, losing the coords was known to be coming the last 2 years, mangini is right there for the defense hes been around for 10+ years and knows it, and the off will be fine with the assts helping the best coach in the NFL....

the pats will not be in the middle of the afc east this year lol
they win that again and will finish 13-3. the pats after winning this coming year will have a drop off, it will be natural i mean they will be getting a little bored.... but they have more motivation this year than ever, to be 1st team ever to win 3 in a row.... and to win without the coords.....
i think if u guys took an honest look at our team and who we added, u would agree we are just as good and better than ever....
its scary how much talent we have on this team...
