Whats the point of making the playoffs if as your saying fitz definitely isn't the answer smh if Tua is a bust let the kid bust and move on rather then tannehill it out or whatever we been doing.
Because it's embarrassing, shameful, and turns a season into a negative stain if you're in position to make the playoffs and choke it away.

Tua.

If someone is willing to pose an argument that this team can win the Super Bowl this year with Fitz as QB, I’ll listen.

Otherwise it’s Tua.

This team couldn't get to the SB this year if we traded for Aaron Rodgers tmrw. You have to stop the run and be able to run....2 things we just can't do.

Its more embarrassing and shameful to back into the playoffs and get handed a beatdown like the last time we made the wildcard and Matt Moore nearly died in a blowout. Tua like him or not is a rookie who will likely get better as the year goes on where ass Fitzpatrick has NEVER led a team to the playoffs..

It's basically saying it's okay to be happy making a wildcard rather then going for a superbowl because we ALL know best case scenario Fitzpatrick will win one game but no way in hell is he good enough to take us any further then that.

Us making the playoffs does nothing to prevent us from making the playoffs in another year. In fact, teams that make playoff runs and have that experience are more likely to return, and teams that make Super Bowl runs almost always made the playoffs the year before.

Fair enough Sir spud, Look I'm a Tua fan but even i'm questioning just a little if he has what it takes to make it but one thing i know for sure is that Fitzpatrick over 13 years has not proven once he is a playoff QB. I'd rather rip the band aid off and find out what we have in Tua quickly and i believe even at this point he is playing as well as Fitzpatrick so i'd rather take a gamble to see what we got rather then not put the chips on the table.

Yup. Plus with the extra wc spot 9 wins might do it
Looking at the standings, and remaining schedules of relavent teams, that is highly unlikely. 10 is borderline, IMO.

I do think we pull it off.

Agree. It is usually a climb. This is true in most sports.

And no, I don't need ppl to post outliers that disprove the norm.

The issue with that is pretty simple. The most important position in football is QB. Trying to get the team experience while sitting the potential franchise QB makes no sense. This isn’t a KC, Smith to Mahomes, scenario. KC was absolutely loaded with talent when Mahomes took over. We don’t have that luxury. It will need to be us building around Tua in the draft and FA next offseason. We have to see what we have and what we need to build a team that can sustain success down the road.

If you think he's flip-flopping on Tua and Fitz then you must think Tua isn't really hurt, which means our 1st round selection and hope for the future of this franchise was dressed in a hoodie on the sideline while perfectly healthy. Do you think an NFL head coach would really do this?
A lot here do......

At this point you go with Tua unless he’s not healthy. Fitz moved the offense decently well yesterday, but it was also the Jets. If you pick your franchise QB and then elect to start him halfway through the season it’s not real beneficial to his development to pull him now.

If the goal is to provide the best opportunity for the team to make the playoffs, then Fitz is the starter.

If the goal is to develop the future franchise QB, the Tua is the starter.
Play offs............phuck that experience thing.
With the Pedegree that Tua has he shouldn’t need that much experience, it seems like he needs a lot. If it wasn’t for defense and special teams he would’ve been 1and 3.

What I don’t get is the “Flores made up the Tua injury to start Fitz” narrative. What, in the past season and a half, has given anyone ANY indication the Flores has any need to justify his personnel moves?
To satisfy Finheaven posters. Hoops almost threatened Flores not to play games with hiding Tua's injuries.

I am actually in favor of starting Fitz against the Bengals and then going back to Tua after that. If Fitz has any sort of struggle against the Bengals, you bring Tua in, but I would rather give Tua an extra week of healing and studying instead of needlessly pushing him against an inferior opponent.

I also totally get the people who argue that Tua should start next week no matter what. I trust Flo to make the right move.
