Starting to See the Wisdom of a WR Pick

Getting a Brandon Marshall type would be killer for our offense. Any guys like that in the draft?
Allen Robinson from Penn State is physically powerful 6'2". He's not as fast as some of the others but he competes for everything and has good hands. He's expected to be taken in the 2nd round. (Not aware that he has any borderline personality disorder like Marshall - that was the primary reason why Denver and Miami both traded him - couldn't handle the constant drama, but Chicago can)

Yes, WR is probably the deepest position in this draft, but I'm starting to see how a pick like Odell Beckham or Brandin Cooks in the first round could really change our offense. Mike Wallace has deep speed for sure, but he's not the strongest runner in the open field on short routes. We don't currently have a player that creates a matchup problem with the ability to take a shallow route and turn it into a big play.

I really think the talk of Hickey being in love with this tackle or that tackle is just a smokescreen. When he looks at value on the board, there's no way he takes a RT at #19.

Recently I read that Amaro is just that kind of guy. take a short route and shoot to open field. I think we are looking for a WR to work there way up through the system and KR/PR is a big plus. I think Cooks is a possibility, but we are looking at other guys later too like Herron.

As far as the first two rounds are concerned, I think we have a plan A, plan B, plan C, and maybe a trade down if someone willing. I think we are looking at CB too.

we had this debate last year about tavon austin. last year was the PERFECT opportunity to add skill position players on offense being that we had 5 picks in the first 3 rounds. instead we got a 3-4 olb who is stuck in a 4-3 and a cb who contributed absolutely nothing and alomst quit. this year we have to draft oline beacause of the disastrous 13 draft. its groundhog day again........

On Offense looking at OT and WR and Maybe TE if Ebron Falls.

On Defense looking at MLB, FS and CB. Phins should select a very good player unless they reach for an OT.

Marquise Lee's tape is jaw-dropping. The epitome of playmaker. He could make more impact than any other player at #19. Is there a lineman available there that's better than a player they could get in round 2?

I wouldn't go receiver in the first unless Hickey thinks the kid is going to be a real game breaker. We have so much money tied up at wr, and we have so many other needs.
