Hey this should be good news...we got spielmans replacement in Randy and he is a decent GM...whats with all the pessimism...you dont even really know who muelller is yet or how he and saban will click...just give the guy a shot before you say anymore negative
things please because its killing my hopes for this teams future...we're stuck with him so deal with it...besides he seemed really respectful to Saban, Wayne and the Team at the press conference...before you bash him let him make his first move...Gosh...Frickin idiot!

How else would he sound? do you really think he would say "I'd rather be in the front office is seattle but that didn't work out, so what the hell florida has nice weather right?" Of course he is going to sound repectful.

I think it's good news! Spielman's gone and I feel we got a good replacement. And yes :calm: :D

He is a proven guy that has some sort of relationship with GMs around the league and has experience negotiating NFL deals and contracts that Nick doesnt have. It is not shocking he chose someone with experience and with a proven track record.

IMO Mueller's biggest blunder in NO was the hiring of Haslett, and there wont be such problems here.

That's just the way it is on message boards. It doesn't matter who we would've hired...the result would be the same. Half the people would be satisfied with it and half wouldn't.

Sports fans are never happy, you should know that by now just by posting on a site.

I am happy. I think it is a good hire. A GM with experience is what we needed. I would have liked him last year. I like Saban because he is a man in charge who also recognizes he needs a personnel guy and someone to learn from.

I never said I was unhappy, but I am shocked. Mueller has a history as a free wheel, and speaks his mind and loves to do interviews. To me that's not a Saban guy.

But as I said in another post, if Saban is okay with him, then why not, only time will tell.

You read my mind.
Just ignore that stuff about Jane Pauley. ;)

I've changed my outlook. I like the Mueller addition, and I think he'll be a very helpful GM for us in the future. He's got a great history, and is considered by menay to be one of the top talent evaluators in the NFL. Let's just hope that he and Saban see eye to eye....

I was somewhat sceptical, but I'm very happy today......

PHINZ RULE!!!
