RaptorBpW said:DolphinDevil, take a look at Mueller's free agent signings in 2001 and 2002, then come back and tell me the man is a top five talent evaluator.
ChambersNBoston said:Hey this should be good news...we got spielmans replacement in Randy and he is a decent GM...whats with all the pessimism...you dont even really know who muelller is yet or how he and saban will click...just give the guy a shot before you say anymore negative
things please because its killing my hopes for this teams future...we're stuck with him so deal with it...besides he seemed really respectful to Saban, Wayne and the Team at the press conference...before you bash him let him make his first move...Gosh...Frickin idiot!
DolphinDevil28 said:Randy Mueller is an EXCELLENT, TOP 5 TALENT in the NFL when it comes to talent evaluation, making decisions for long term success, and doing what's right for the ball club.
Now, the reason he was fired in New Orleans was because he pulled a few shady moves OUT of the front office, (it was New Orleans. What happens in N.O. stays in N.O.)
Tom Benson is an idiot and fired him for political reasons. He did not like Mueller's shrude attitude and they did not blend together well.
We should all be happy that we have two unreal, absolutely great decision makers and talent evaluators running our team in Saban and Mueller.

(...and I like the Saints, I'm not bashing them.)
This is definitely not the case in Miami. The coaching staff here is awesome. They will get the most out of the players they bring in.
Besides, Mueller doesn't have the final say. Saban does.
RaptorBpW[/quote said:That could well be, but it doesn't explain everything. Fact is, many of Mueller's signings were simply bad. Dale Carter wasn't ruined by our coaching staff; he was a cancer in Denver, and he was cancer as a Saint. Grady Jackson was fat in Oakland, and was fat in New Orleans. He's fat in Green Bay. Albert Connell was a mental case in Washington; he was a mental case in New Orleans. David Sloan couldn't catch while in Detroit; he couldn't catch in New Orleans. Victor Riley was a talented but unfocused and lazy SOB in Kansas City; he was the same in New Orleans.
Get the trend?
