Prediction: 7-9
Comment: I feel like I've seen this movie. Too many questions have to get answered to predict playoffs. The AFC East is better. And I'm not falling for the preseason optimism again until there's a season of proof.

Prediction: 9-7
Comment: Only three numbers matter this season for the Dolphins. Those are 85 (the passer rating Ryan Tannehill needs), 23 (points Miami’s offense must score to produce a winning season) and nine (victories coach Joe Philbin needs to keep his job).

Chris Perkins
Dolphins Writer
Prediction: 8-8
Comment: Wide receiver and defensive line are the strengths. Offensive line and overall playmaking are the weaknesses. Unfortunately, the weaknesses drag down the strengths to the point this still isn't a playoff team.

That's about right, I'm going 8.8 , with a small chance to be a wildcard........

I think anything less than 9-7 would be a failure. 8-8 would be a dissapointing season, and 7-9 would be unacceptable given last year, a third year quarterback, and a roster that has supposedly improved.

I think 9-7. I think the o will be more dynamic. but who the hell knows

i wont be able to judge till after the first game of the season. If the offense is any showing like the 3rd preseason game then 7-9 for sure.

I gotta go with 10-6... I guess I see more positives with the offense than most of you all do...

I see a lot of playmakers on this team right now. A lot of really talented young players coming in. Mathews, Landry, James, both damian Williams, Hoskins, Davis, Taylor, Tripp, Jordan. So many of these guys have a whole lot of potential and have impressed. I feel like this roster really got significantly better this offseason talent wise. I say we go 10-6. We sweep the bills and the jets. :)

Not one for predictions but LVH has the Phins at 8 wins. I'd take the under on that and feel pretty confident I'd be a winner. I can't help but wonder if some guys are just throwing an optimistic number out there without looking at the schedule.
