Not sure if it's been mentioned, but ESPN app notification just said he was meeting with Flores
 
Clowney shores up our edge run defense. He will draw a double at times in both rushing and passing plays. He will elevate the entire line, IMO. If you offset $16m on Clowney with $8m savings on Stills, it looks pretty attractive to me.

I'm starting to think this defense might be in the top 15 this year, even without Clowney. Caveat: the O could kill this D with TOP. Last year this D was historically bad. Tell me they don't look better with the DL technique and LBs actually making plays.

This move would reinforce what I already believe: no self-respecting coach and GM are intentionally tanking. They look to me like they are going with younger eager talent over 2nd and 3rd contract guys that are marginal.
 
I have watched Clowney since he was at the University of South Carolina. I would not give up any picks to get him here, especially when it is not under a long term contract. Stills and Alonzo sure, not draft picks or Tunsil. Clowney has had an issue with practice/training in past because he was such a natural talent when in college...
 
My compensation for Clowney needs to be equivalent to the compensatory pick... a year out. If he would net a LATE 3rd in 2021, then we give our latest 4th in 2020. That is fair.
 
I really dont care to have Him here, if He doesn't want to be. I'd choose Tunsil over Him anyways. I'll take an Elite Tackle over an OLB/Pass Rusher All...Day...Long!!!
 
I'd love to have Clowney on the team if the cost wasn't too high. I think we'd then be a tackle and a guard away from having a decent team.
 
Feels like it may be Drake and a pick / receiver to me. But I'd just prefer he go to Seattle. Plenty of time to get a couple of marquee free agents once you've got something good going with a couple of drafts.
