**Super Thread** Clowney/Tunsil Trade Rumor (merged too many times)

Stills & a 3rd

Only way I would consider Tunsil is Clowney & 2 1sts...but probably still wouldn't

Remember Grier almost traded down in the 1st round in April of 2019 for an additional 1st rounder in 2020 and traded down in the 2nd round because he wanted another 2nd round pick in 2020. So IMO the possibility of this trade happening has increased because Grier values draft capital. To me Clowney is an afterthought because, he's most probably leaving after 2019. It's more about how desperate O'Brien becomes to obtain Tunsil. If Miami gets two 1st. It's almost impossible not to make the trade.

Who cares they make this trade they don’t care either lol

White flag waving

Bingo.

2020 was always the plan. Tua and another 1st is money. Don't need a high paid LT when you have a lefty qb, Put more resources in the interior OL and RT. Hell pass rushers these days line up everywhere so even LT doesn't face the best week in and week out.

If Clowneys an afterthought then you have to give me 2 1s period.

If all it is is a salary dump for them then yeah I’m gonna hold you to it

If Houston gets Tunsil I feel that makes them a top ten team. To me late round first is the same as a 2nd. That devalues the trade. I'd need more. More cookies for the cookie monster!!

All these reports to me sounds like Houston badly wants Tunsil and not Miami wanting Clowney.

If they give us an offer we can't refuse you gotta trade him.

(2) 1sts and Clowney.
This trade will probably happen and Miami will be sorry in the long run.

Miami lucked into Tunsil, who was a top 5 player in the draft and fell. Looking at the OL picks this CENTURY, Miami has sucked. Ju'Wuan James was the 19th overall pick and he was only slightly above average. You leave it to this front office to replace Tunsil and it will never happen. These guys really have no clue how to build a team.

I can’t name a player though that was in his prime traded for at a premium position and then dumped for a comp pick a year later.

Like literally no one. This place thinks with its comp pick head way too much

Let's say you can draft an elite 1st round tackle 20% of the time, to me that means Tunsil should be traded for 5 first rounders to expect to find someone of his caliber (especially if the picks are later in the round). I don't see us getting the same return even for 2 first rounders, so I personally would not trade him. Clowney with a long term contract and a 1 & 2 would be my minimum.

Don’t forget fellas miamis probably gonna be real active in free agency next year so you guys need to stop counting comp picks.

Especially on the o line I’d expect us to be active. Lol we better

Meh, my care for the long run for this team died a long time ago. None of this matters until Miami get's a damn qb.

If Tua is their guy and he's legit then a LT becomes less significant.

Yeah they rejected it, they don't wanna trade him, but if Houston keeps throwing assets at Miami in the form of first round picks you listen.
