**Super Thread** Clowney/Tunsil Trade Rumor (merged too many times)

It seems that it’s some interesting phrasing here.

“In addition to Clowney, numerous sources to Pro Football Network are telling us that the Miami Dolphins are shopping their entire team, including all tradeable veterans. This means that while some contracts can’t be traded (Xavien Howard, for example), there are many who the Dolphins will listen to offers for. This includes offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil.”

So this LOOKS like they have heard “Miami will listen to trade offers on all tradeable veterans,” then said, “oh, hey, look! Tunsil is a tradeable veteran! So this means they’re shopping Tunsil!”

They have been getting called out on that all last night too. Then they tweeted saying "Well they aren't shopping him but he's available for the right place" Which is backtracking a lot and is such an open ended way of saying I'm not technically wrong.

If someone was to offer 2 firsts for Laremy Tunsil do I think Miami would take it? More than likely because as great as Tunsil can be getting 2 firsts for an OL is too good to pass up. Do I think Miami said "hey everybody is available give us your best offer" No. I can confidently say I think there there are 3 players firmly on the trade block in Jones, Kiko, and McMillan. I think some WRs can be on the trade block due to the camps of not only Williams but also Ford.

Finally a little reasonable clarity. Thank you.

An NFL reality is that a team with an expellant player might trade him for several players and/or draft picks.

Is there any player on our team worth between 3 and 5 players and/or draft picks? If there is, would we be willing to make that trade?

I can think of one or two. If a trade like that did come up, I believe we would make it, if the front office feels it would make our team stronger in two positions and add some more depth where we need it.

I just don't think it is very likely, but there are always teams loaded with draft picks that might make an attempt.

I just don't believe it. Tunsil's the only guy you can count on up front and if they don't want to pay him then why trade him for Clowney who will want even more money?

What the heck is profootballnetwork?

Lol

They were in part founded by Matthew Cannata who does the Phinsider podcast. It's basically a fan site that does content for different teams.

Yea the idea that Tunsil can be had for the right price is very believeable.

That price is not Clowney for Tunsil straight up tho.

Dude has this cheap 4th year and a second level lower 5th year option as well in 2020.

The starting price is 2 first rounders.

Yep

There is a tweet out that says Tunsil's camp has confirmed the rumors!!! I believe he's available. But will they actually trade him?

I've seen too much local coverage on Tunsil to think he is going anywhere, but I'm realistic, it is about 2020 and beyond and next year's draft is loaded.

The fans on other boards are hilarious though. A beat up veteran and a 4th for Tunsil lol

If you trade for Tunsil, go ahead and take the first night of the next two drafts off.

Yeah why would we trade a guy under contract through next year for someone who could walk after the season. Honestly this to me reeks of someone taking 3 separate stories and making something up for clicks. 1)Miami asked about Clowney (Fact) 2)Miami Asked about Trent Williams (Fact but for RT) 3)Miami has vets available (Fact)

Do you know why he didn't play against the Jags?

Because it's preseason and despite the idea that the 3rd preseason game is a dress rehearsal, it's still preseason. Tunsil was not the only big name in the NFL not to play last night... and with as many players as got hurt in week 3 I'm not against that move. Also, the team knows what they have in Tunsil at LT and on the OL the bigger points in the preseason were to get Calhoun and Deiter as many snaps as possible, and to see if any of the tackles in camp would be our swing tackle.
