Wes got over 1,000 yards receiving in his senior year at Texas Tech....I knew he could do it as a receiver...Great game by Wes other than the costly fumble. :)

Hard to put Welker in Chrebet's class. Remember Wes did not have a single catch last year. I don't think he runs the precise routes Chrebet did in his prime but Wes is a lot faster that Wayne ever was.
After what he showed today, Wes could develop into a poor man's Brendan Stokley.

Welker was hardly used as a WR last year, but when he is on the field in whatever capacity the coaches deem to use him, he produces. IMO, Welker IS in Chrebet's class. I guess time will tell.
