More Dolphins Dysfunction, Ian Rapoport is reporting that Ross tried to hire Licht after he became aware the Buccaneers were closing in on him. Licht rejected him.

It is the same ole BS for sure. How many times since Ross bought this franchise has someone turned him down for a job? We are in a funk right now for sure.

Maybe Tampa has a better group of players to begin with - but I wouldn't swap them QBs at this time

Before #Bucs struck a deal with new GM Jason Licht, I’m told the #Dolphins found out about TB’s interest & made a late attempt to hire Licht

So we only tried to hire him after we found out about the Bucs interest

If this turns up to be true it's another body punch to the organization. What a mess. Ross should hire someone to run the team for him or sell the team.

The body is rotten from the head come down!

Ok....I have been flamed all week for ripping Ross, the org's lack of structure, the overall selection process and that the job could be viewed as toxic. Ummmm, let excuse making start.....now.

Just hire Brian Gaine.

He might need a czar.

Ross couldn't get laid at a monkey whore house with a fistful of bananas! Roflmao I guess the well the Bucs don't have a GM yet excuse is out the window!

There will be a Darlington or Mando report that says this is not true and the Ross/Philbin supporters will be able to point to it.

Face it folks, the owner does not know what he is doing and is well behind the curve.

I think I have finally come to the same conclusion as you. I feel Miami will be a dump as long as Ross remains owner.

If it is true that we only tried to hire him after the Bucs offered him the job, then I don't blame him. I would have taken the Bucs job too. Hopefully, this is just another rumor generated by the media to stir the pot. The media will say anything to make our organization look bad.

Ummm...what does that say about Ray Farmer. Either he is consolation prize or they obviously do not view him as the best guy. That is the first thing I thought of...

I will keep beating this drum esp. at this point: hire Brian Gaine.

You ask the right question. Licht was a former Dolphin employee. He was interviewed as were a lot of others. Why did our interest only go up after Tampa showed interest?
Maybe this process with so many participants was too slow and cumbersome.
