Taiwan Jones looks better than thomas.

I dotn know...Outta Kansas I thought Daniel Thomas was at worse a early second round pick....Now he hasnt lite it up quiet yet,but Im still very hopeful for him, because I have very little doubt he can tout the rock at least 18 times a game,if need be,and thats a good amount.

I agree. I think I may have misjudged Carter. He's looked good in every Colts game I've watched.

i'm right there with you on that one...to me he should be getting run over donald brown i know that...and its only a matter of time before addais hurt again...and they paid addai too much loot...he can't stay healthy

you watch the saints game??? i should have never put money on them in vegas...they're woeful against the run and i don't know what they're doing at free safety...malcolm jenkins should be the lock but they've run out some scrub named oliver and then our own guy amaya and they look terrible...new orleans is gonna have to score a boat load of points cause that d looks like a wound

I agree with you about Carter over Donald Thomas and about another Addai injury being just a matter of time. Carter's sort of become my sleeper pick for rookie of the year, actually, for those reasons. It's crazy how good his feet have looked because at Syracuse he looked like such a straight-lineish running back. It was one of the things I disliked about him, actually. Those guys who weave through traffic rather than making actual hard cuts never appeal to me as much (plus, I tend to like smaller backs like Jamaal Charles in general). But he's looked good.

As for the Saints in the Super Bowl... I can't fault that bet. Most teams have a Super Bowl hangover and then you see them make another run after a break of a year. The Rams did it in 2001 after being bad in 2000. The Pats needed a year off after beating the Rams in 2001 and won back to back after the 2002 and 2003 seasons. Pittsburgh took a year off to be average after winning it two years ago and made it back last year. The Saints are poised to do that some thing again this year, too (though most of the examples I've cited here lost, actually, on their return trip, which would be a particularly bad way to lose that bet).

It happens. You can look at Green Bay's roster and say they will go back but it's much more likely that they'll have all kinds of problems this year. It's just the way it goes.

But as for the Saints specifically... yeah, they're having all kinds of problems with their run defense. Their linebackers are small and something's going on with their defensive line. Losing Fujita hurt them a lot more than most people think. But like the Colts or the Eagles, that team is designed for the offense to get up big and then they hammer you with pressure on the quarterback, and the good news for the Saints is their offense should be better than ever. Their offensive line is intact and with Ingram and Sproles they're better than they've ever been at running back. Jimmy Graham is poised to have a breakout season. Colston's microfracture surgery is a concern but that's kind of who he is at this point in his career. Lance Moore is an underrated receiver, maybe the best slot receiver in the game because he can also get deep and is a red zone threat. Robert Meachem would have been a bust most places but they've found a good way to use him.

Everybody's NFC darling is the Falcons but I think they take a step back this year, honestly. Their secondary is poor, they don't get good pressure up front, Turner is slowing down and Gonzalez is just barely hanging on to his talent. They have some real talent at WR but it wouldn't shock me to see Harry Douglass actually have a better season statistically than Julio Jones. Wide receiver is a really hard position to learn and the lockout will hurt him. Plus, he's been dropping the ball in preseason. And Matt Ryan... it's sacrilege to some around here but I continue to think he's an overrated player. Some want to put him up there with Brees, Rivers and Roethlisberger in that top second group of quarterbacks but that's not where he is to my eyes. I have him in the same group with Romo, Schaub and Josh Freeman and probably at the bottom of that group. I do like him better than guys like Eli Manning, Cutler and Flacco, though.

yep...but that o better score a ton...cause the d is gonna have problems getting teams off the field...anyways i agree with you on matt ryan...top 5 talk is rediculous...i'd say personally though that he's in the top 12...

you see antonio brown for the steelers??? that kids ready to break out big time...sleeper fantasy pick right there... small but jet quick and tougher than his size...typical steelers find

i think this is the year that houston by bringing in wade phillips as dc finally beats the colts for the division...the colts are in trouble with these manning issues...i like houston a lot in that division

Yeah, Brown has gone off. Isn't he leading the preseason in receiving? My only question for him from a fantasy perspective is how much his targets are going to come down after Emmanuel Sanders comes back from injury. You don't want to draft a guy who's going to end up the next Victor Cruz -- that guy with the Giants who went off last preseason. Plus, the Steelers still have Hines Ward, who's old and slow but Roethlisberger really depends on him. Brown is really a guy to watch if Mike Wallace gets injured.

As for Houston, yeah it's something of a broken record to say it but this really could be their year. Phillips is going to help that defense but unfortunately for them they're still playing Jason Allen a lot (he's in a battle with Kareem Jackson to start, I think). That one-gap 3-4 Phillips runs is not a bad fit for their talent, much better than a more traditional 2 gap 3-4 would have been. I loved Connor Barwin coming out and thought he would have made an ideal strong side linebacker in a 3-4 (but we picked Pat White instead, which of course worked out swimmingly). DeMeco Ryans is sort of undersized for that scheme but he's a real talented player. I think he'll figure it out.

if i'm pittsburgh when sanders comes back he's behind antonio brown on the depth chart...browns much more explosive...and mike wallace is gonna get all the coverage this year you just know that...i think brown could be big

houstons got to find a way to hide jason allen...no doubt about that

how bout aj green??? he was killing chris gamble on the vertical routes in the panthers game...if andy dalton could have hit him he would have had 3 deep touchdowns in the first half of that game...plenty of rolled coverage coming his way...may be some plays for jerome simpson to make on the other side as a result...aj greens lethal

I love AJ Green as a prospect. He reminds me of a big Marvin Harrison and has Hall of Fame type ability. Amazing talent. But from a fantasy perspective I'm avoiding rookies in general and everyone on the Bengals. That team is utterly dysfunctional and Dalton is just not very good. I'm similarly avoiding everyone on the Cardinals offense. Even Fitzgerald. Kevin Kolb is a mirage and even in Philly he much preferred to throw to Celek than to DeSean Jackson or Jeremy Maclin.
