I Meant OFF.

Texans just signed him for the next three years. I hope this is the righ area for this. It's so fractured I'm not sure where to start topics. Sorry in advance.

right now, it's a hot topic so people are going to think it belongs in the dolphins forum. That's fine we'll just move them as they show up.

what people need to understand is that there is Dolphin talk in every forum....We would put this in the general NFL forum because it is ABOUT Carr although, I'm sure that the thread will be filled with talk about what this means to the Dolphins....but it isn't ABOUT the Dolphins....

That's the best I can explain it....:dunno:

Well, I guess they really are gonna draft Bush then. I was hoping that maybe Carr would have been availible. I wouldn't have minded him in a Dolphins uni

Thanks inFIN. That actually gives me a little idea of where to post stuff.

Carr couldn't read my wish list he is far away from it.

There was a thread about Carr getting the Bonus in yesterday's threads....I guess that means Reggie Bush will be the Texans 1st pick and not Vince Young, and then Leinart may go to the Saints, and the Jets get D'Brickashaw?

The decision to extend David Carr's deal was a formality and has no bearing on what the Texans will do in the April draft. Unless they receive an offer for the first pick that is too good to pass up, which is highly unlikely, the Texans will select Texas quarterback Vince Young or Southern California running back Reggie Bush.

Also a small article on the signing. Doesn't say much but here it is.

I personally think they will take Bush but I guess they could have signed Carr to a deal that avoided the 8 million roster bonus so they could draft Young and sit him for a year and then cut Carr loose without any real penalty because of the way the new deal is structured.

Looks like Houston is keeping him, but maybe they signed him to trade. If they hadn't gave him the bonus he would become a free agent.

Yeah, this is too bad. He would have been a nice fit for us.I think the Texans are making the right move, though. Carr is not the reason they've been having issues.

I think they are going to work hard to move the pick and trade back. If they cant, they have to draft Bush despite having D. Davis or maybe go after someone else they value.
