No,no,no! If their plan was to trade him they would have to extend him exactly as they did. If their plan is to keep him they would do the same thing. This news is a formality and makes him no more or less available. There have been at least three threads saying this makes him unavailable (and even more posts in each thread agreeing). These just indicate a lack of understanding as to how the process works.

What some people don't understand is, this effects our chances with Cutler through links.
In this situation, the Texans would doubtfully take Young or Leinart, because if they take Young or Leinart and the Saints take the one they didn't pick, you have the Titans sitting there with Cutler on the board. Not that Houston would have taken Yound or Leinart anyway, but this increases our chances
