I want Bowles. Like I said before, he's going to be a good head coach. On top of having players wanting to play for him, he's also extremely intelligent and analytical. And blunt on top of that.

I don't care how likeable a guy is. Belichick is an *******.. and players buy in cuz he wins.

I just don't think this is his time.

My order of preference mirrors this poll: Philbin, McCoy, Bowles.

Bottom line is that all of these candidates will be unable to turn this team into anything without a QB for now and (unless we get Manning) the future. There needs to be a plan in place for that. They succeed in pulling of a plan like that, and I can see all three being successes.

Actually players love to play for Belichick. He's confident, ****y, and blunt.

I said Bowles has that as one of the qualities going for him, and do not underestimate that quality. He is also very intelligent within the X and O's and knows how to adapt and adjust. If Moore didn't turn full-on idiot mode in the second half versus the Patriots, we would have most likely won that game. When's the last time you saw Brady rattled like that in the first half? We completely came out of the gates and destroyed the Patriots in the 1st half. Then Moore goes with his usual "I am going to fumble 15 times in a span of two minutes and take thirty sacks and throw a terrible pick" in the second half and they are back in the game with giving Brady field position and command.

We have an actual Quarterback that game we win that. He tore apart the Bills until they started giving up some garbage TDs and he kept the Jets in check by severely out-coaching Ryan. Took Belichick to the wire as well.

Just because Sparano was not a good head coach, does not mean Bowles won't be. Bowles showed in 3 games more than Sparano showed in about 2 seasons. While you may say that's not a lot, go back and watch some of the subtle coaching changes he employed in the final 3 games.

Some of you are saying "We say the same conservative garbage Sparano had" or "The team looked exactly the same" and similar statements. How much can you change a team in three weeks? Its not Madden, you cannot completely change the playing style of a team in the final three weeks. All you can do is have subtle coaching changes that help the outcome of the game. Like bringing Reshad Jones near the LOS in the final three weeks instead of having him as a deep robber. Or running influence plays with Bush. Or doing what Sparano or most coaches didn't do which was blitzing Brady and pressing the heck out of the Patriots wideouts. How many Blitzes did we see in the Bills game? We saw more than I have ever seen in Sparano's three years. THAT was an aggressive defense.

For all that complaining about not being able to contain a Tight End? What happened with Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez? We basically shut them down. And they have been tearing apart basically every single team in the NFL. Dustin Keller? Shut down.
Bush ran for 200+ yards in the Bills game, Bowles first game. He changed some of the blocking schemes and did run plays that were not the norm, giving Bush a wild day.

So Yes, I want Bowles.

Why, oh WHY! Did we fire Sparano? I can bet money that none of these coaches are better then him! We will be the epitome of mediocrity for many years to come, cant wait! :tumbleweed:

Oh btw, there should be an option in the poll for None of the above! I hate being a pessimist but this is ridiculous, how can anyone honestly be excited about these 3 guys? At lease 1 of them is coming from a winning team that could have actually won the Superbowl, but its still not the "sexy" hire Ross envisioned.

Using Sparano as a comparison is not that reassuring. Sparano was over his head and poor at on the job training.

Not saying Bowles is not the answer because truthfully I haven't a clue.....

Hank Goldberg just said on the Troy Stafford show that he thinks Bowles is the best of the rest, and the he's heard from around the league that both Philbin and McCoy aren't that impressive.

Great!

Well if they use him as a stopgap guy, its not so bad I guess. But still that means this next year is going to be a waste. I dont know what to think anymore. I hope they know what their doing for GODS sake!

Bowles coached like Morono that 2nd half of the patsies game...

Impressive.

I can't wait for the blind faithers to tell us how good this hire is and that Moore is the franchise QB

Who is gonna renew season tickets for this mediocrity?

Really? If you actually watched the game, Moore played like a complete buffoon in the second half and lost us the game.

Did you watch the game or are you forming your opinion based on someone else's thoughts?

PHILBIN.

not because of flynn, he is going to RUIN some club and their cap room after that goofy 6 td performance he had. not because we will instantly look like greenbay and have their success. but i want the WEST COAST OFFENSE here and philbin brings that.

ANYONE BUT BOWLES!!!!!!

But you are the one bouncing around the forum saying it's going to be Bowles.

The only reason most people want Philbin is cause they think he's going to pillage the GB team of coordinators and take Matt Flynn with him......if we get Philbin and none of the other team wants to work for him or they go to different teams and Matt Flynn either turns out to be another deadend like AJ Feeley or he doesn't come here then what?

I'd rather a young hungry coach like McCoy, who's worked with a few of our players already and knows our QB and WR. And draft Tannehill to groom. And shoot if we lose out next yr, there's Barkley to look forward too.

I dont think Philbin will bring any coaches with him. Any coach thinking of coming to Miami to move up a step in the coaching ranks could get the exact same promotion in Green bay when Philbin leaves. And they also get to stay in Green Bay and work with a championship caliber team. If I am a Green Bay coach looking to move up, I would look to fill Philbins vacated OC spot when he leaves, rather than go to Miami to get an OC job.
