Good read. See below, in this thread, for another similar article.

It fit the profile teammates have seen in Tannehill from the start: not just a player with the mental and physical tools to succeed at the most difficult position in sports, but a person mature beyond his years, unfazed by adversity off the field or on it.

"That's my favorite thing about him," receiver Mike Wallace said. "You've got a lot of quarterbacks who might throw a pick, they might throw two, and they go into the tank. And he's not like that. He's a guy who's going to continue to fight no matter what the situation."

"
You just look at him and you can tell that he's confident in himself," tackle Tyson Clabo said. "That's really the biggest obstacle to overcome from a youth standpoint. When we look at him, we can see he's confident in himself and so it gives us confidence in him."

Whatever the judgment is and whenever it happens, I'm sure it'd be a big buzz going around," Tannehill said. "But in the locker room, we're focused on the task at hand and this week, that's beating the Patriots"

Tannehill belongs to Philbin.

We aint getting rid of Philbin. We've only just begun.

Reading this makes me believe we may just have our quarterback! I sure hope so.

Ryan Tannehill had just seen his pass intercepted by Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu, and the Steelers safety was making a beeline down the sideline.

Tannehill joined several teammates in pursuit of Polamalu, who dived and got the ball in the end zone as his knee hit the Miami Dolphins quarterback in the helmet.

"I was just trying to stop him from getting in the end zone," said Tannehill, whose Dolphins won at Pittsburgh 34-28 on Sunday despite Polamalu's Pick 6. "I don't think about much self-preservation at that point. It's all about, 'I messed it up. I screwed it up. So, let me try to stop him and keep him out of the end zone.
"

I think one of the most undervalued traits RT has is his resiliency... After getting sacked 40+ times, most young QBs would be seeing ghosts out there. But he never seems fazed after these hits. He just gets up and keep standing tall in the pocket. That's where I think his time at WR helped him the most. He is used to taking a hit, unlike a lot of QBs out of college...'

That's my quarterback

THIS is our franchise, right here. The kid wearing number 17 is all we need to go into the playoffs and maybe even superbowl. I have no doubt that with a little more seasoning we will be perennial playoff contenders, part of the reason I would like to keep this coaching staff intact for the most part. (qb coach and oc are my exceptions of course)

Tannehill driving the Dolphins down and scoring a touchdown right after throwing a pick 6 in their yard was impressive. It looked as though he was determined to make up for his mistake and wasn't going to let anything stand in his way.

Very nice read....it is always good to see the Dolphins get positive press in the national media.

I like a lot about Tannehill, but his toughness and resiliency are the two things that will have this team competing every year. These player saw him take a pounding and we never once hear him throw a lineman under the bus in an interview or in the media in general. He has earned the respect of his team and has shown a certain amount of swagger in response to adversity. He does have his faults, but the positives outweigh the negatives by a large margin....and many of those faults are fixable. The biggest positive he has isn't coachable and that is his mental make-up....

Yeah, with as many times as he's been sacked it would be easy to say if I just had more time.
