I just don't think passing yards in today's NFL are a great way to measure QB play. It's a pass heavy league and if you start enough games you'll be assured to throw over 3,000 and 4,000 is no great accomplishment any longer. I think 4th Q comebacks, passer rating in 4th quarter, TDs, red zone QBR etc are more important. Don't understand the obsession w passing yards theses days. Look at Matt "mistake prone" Stafford - he has a gazillion yards and how many playoff appearances? Just sayin. I'm more impressed w Ryan's ability to take care of the football and limit his young QB mistakes - while winning games in the 2nd half now. He didn't throw for a lot of yards yesterday but he played fantastic - after the pick 6 he responded by taking us right down for a TD. That's what Marino used to do. That's what the great ones do. He continues to do this and we'll be able to call him "elite" soon enough.
