Tannehill Drawing Rave Reviews

They'll heap praise on Philbin as a genius, say it was the system rather than the athletes.

Or something.

Yeah...guys as gifted as Marino rarely are good at mentoring.

ESPN's Outside The Lines recently had a pretty good segment on QB mentoring.

this might be sacrilegious but if I had to choose between a rookie QB getting advice from dan or getting advice from aikman, I go with the guy who experienced a brutal rookie season, and also experienced multiple super bowl wins. I love dan, but there was never any QBs who he helped to develope.

Maybe Aikman's advising him to get all his furniture & stuff at "Rent A Center" like his TV commercial !! :chuckle:

Jock Financial Advisory ... don't put your stuff on credit cards with 24% interest ... pay 300% for it in monthly installments, NO Risk !! :lol2:

LMAO I guess Marino is pissed that Ryan looks like he'll deliver some rings to Miami while he couldn't deliver a single ring in about 20 seasons. Marino wanted Henne in Miami because his thought process if he couldn't win a ring in Miami then no one else is going to win a ring in miami goddamnit!!!

All these people criticizing the WR group I wonder what they're going to say if they turn out to be a strength?

if they have the least bit of respect they will admit they were wrong. ill be the first one to admit if i'm wrong about it. just not holding my breath one bit.

that's easy. they'll say... well those guys really fit into the WCO that philbin and sherman brought to miami.

Yes....and we've been so wrong about so much lately. We never saw 0-7 coming...oh wait...we did. We never saw Marshall as an overrated receiver...oh wait we did. We never saw Davis/Smith as NOT a top DB pair...oh wait...we did.

screw that...play him...if he's got stones he won't get ruined in year one...and i don't want to go into 2013 wondering if this kid can even play in this league...

When your always totally negative about EVERYTHING the odds are you'll be right some of the time. What if anything would make you happy ? We have a new coach. A new offence. A new QB. A decent draft. Training camp has not even started and your already complaining ? Now it's just boring.

The problem with that strategy is that we rely on confirmation bias and think it'll work... that all the guys who started early and turned out well had the stones and the guys who started early and went belly up didn't have 'em. Only there's no way to know that. It's just what we assume after the fact. If you read the in-depth stories of Rodgers' rookie year everyone basically says he was so awful in training camp that if he had been a lower round pick he would have been cut.

This early out there's no way of telling anything one way or another, but one thing for sure is I'm not rushing anything. I'll root for the Dolphins this year but for me it's already all about next year. If I were making the plans, my goal would be to shoot for Tannehill starting four games. That's enough for teams to adjust to you and to have some ups and downs and have good tape to look at but probably not enough to get shell shocked. On the upper range would be duplicating what they did with Josh Freeman, who I think ended up starting nine games his rookie year.

All I can remember are negative camp reports of Beck continuing to suck and White overthrowing receivers and obese tunas in golf carts. Can not process.

Did Tannehill do anything after training camp except for having dinner?

Let's try to calm down.

...Or we could also start paying attention of what people that have actually talked, worked him out, or have seen him practice are saying. There may be more to Tannehill then the so called experts have seen or know about him.

I'll tell you what would make me happy...Ireland getting fired....Ross selling the team...

And no, I haven't been always negative. I bought into the Parcells cool-aid, and was a homer for awhile...but then I started to see things that other didn't. Like the fact that their drafts were actually pretty mediocre. I remember arguing this in the third year. After 5 years, people now agree with me...but they blame it all on Parcells. Well, I'm looking at last year and this year...and I don't think its any better.

Am I supposed to just be happy because everyone else is...maybe if I had been wrong about a lot of things the last few years I would give you guys the benefit of the doubt...but I HAVEN'T BEEN WRONG. You can chalk it up to "if your always negative you will be right sometime." Do that if that makes you sleep better at night.
