Tannehill emerging as vocal leader and dined with Shula, Griese and Marino

Another good thing about Joe & Dennis is that they are embracing the franchises tradition and history. The previous regime tried to ignore/avoid/block out everything but their reign of idiocy.

I said earlier that Tannehill needs to lead by example before yelling. But if it is a question of not knowing where you are on a play, or something to do with studying plays, I think you are right, now that I think it over some more. Tannehill is probably prepared and knows the plays because he works hard. His issues are going to be execution and split second instinct type stuff, and ball location most likely. So I think you may be right now that I think about it. He was probably pissed about somebody not lining up right and slowing the tempo. In that case I agree.

When it's just venting and the QB has no real reputation of doing great things that precedes him, that's when they can lose a team. Hopefully it was not that.

it wasn't even about the playbook, Matthews quit running and gave up on a play

If he doesn't assume the persona of a franchise QB, he'll never become one. That doesn't necessarily mean yelling, but it does mean holding teammates accountable and acting as a leader. Doesn't matter how good/bad he is; it's the approach needed for the position. Of course, it doesn't guarantee success, but failing lead as a QB guarantees failure.

He corrected 3 receivers today - Matthews (a recurring theme), and rookies Ford and Wooten. This is what he is supposed to be doing. Not sure why that is being lampooned such as it is as it shows growth and maturity.
 
So people complain that we don't have any leaders on this offense/Tannehill doesn't show enough leadership...then when he gets on one of his receivers for not giving full effort on a play, he's being immature and hasn't earned the right to yell at anyone. :bobdole:

If that is his point then he's wrong. Leaders have to lead and some times they have to get in the face of a player who is slacking off, especially those who have a history of such behavior.
