Tannehill Excited To Work With New OC Lazor

I'm reserving judgement until I see what our OL and TE positions look like. While almost everyone else seems to think we have a star in Charles Clay ... he still seems very raw, limited and inconsistent to me. His blocking is very hit and miss. He has no length. His hands are not great. He runs only a fraction of the route tree. Yes, he has one play where he catches in space for chunk yardage, but if that's covered he usually seems invisible. He tips our hands that it's a pass play and he is still a liability in the run block and pass pro sets.

Our OL is in shambles. We're all predicting a myriad of resources devoted to the OL, and I certainly hope it happens ... but until it does, I'm reserving judgement.

Yes, I'm very excited about Lazor. Yes I suspect we will get the OL right and it will be greatly improved. Yes I'm expecting Lazor to create a running game, play action fakes that Tannehill does so well, and take advantage of personnel and formation mismatches. Yes I'm psyched for Benton and a better OL coach with a proven track record. But, I'd feel a lot better if we had already drafted Taylor Lewan, Jack Mewhort, James Hurst and Brandon Linder and brought in Eugene Monroe and Zane Beadles ... OK, even I know that's a pipe dream, but still...
