Moore also did not beat a single team with a winning record or a top defense. The teams he beat were KC, Washington, the Bills, once against a very dysfunctional Jets team at the end, and a bad Raiders team.
You're right I am a nobody in the franchise and I am okay with that, but to sit behind stats like QB rating to make a claim that Matt Moore should lead this team, never playing in a west coast offense before, never playing with the current coaching staff before should start over someone with superior talent is ludicrous.
It was fun to see Matt Moore succeed last year, it's been painfull to be a Dolphin fan the past decade or so, now having a QB with talent, I may be effin crazy, but I want to see the kid grow and become the player he thinks he can be and who this coaching staff believes he will be.
Moore is an after thought, its fine that your living in 2011, his finish last year was so enjoyable and as long as Moore is a Dolphin I will root for him to succeed! I think with as great as you say he did last year and the team goes out a selects someone at his position in the draft with the 8th overall selection is kind-of damning for that said player, just to be frank, IMO.
The fact is he was 6-7 as a starter, had a turnover problem with interceptions, fumbles and batted passes at the line of scrimmage. Also doesn't practice particularly well, so that just doesn't bode well for the guy, especially considering last nite he started of the 2012 preseason with more of the same problems. He does show nice deep accuracy, but doesn't show quick decision making, his short area accuracy is not as good as it should be and in a WCO, that will be detrimental to his growth and/or ability to actually play.
I'm not trying to fight with you or to name call, I'm just stating what I see. I have eyes, and I have been following football as a fan of not just my favorite team but others as well, I love college ball, and the excitement of the draft, I felt that RT17's performance last night passed my eyes test. Now I want to see him perform with our #1's against the other teams #1's. I don't understand why you would say we would be in real trouble as an organization if I was calling the shots.....I mean really, what could I screw up if I was calling the shots? We havent done squat since early 2000's. I see a ton of terrible mistakes since then....but now, with the QB depth we have and a stud rookie QB, I feel that the future finally looks good!
