Was reading PFT this morning about the victory, the last paragraph said this:

In that spirit, I liked what Tannehill told me about Miami’s day off today. Coaches often give players “victory Monday,” an extra day off in additional to Tuesday, when the team either is tired or had a big win. Gase gave the team Monday off. But Tannehill went to his offensive mates and said he thought they should come in to dissect the tape today, then leave for a day-and-a-half of rest. “I went around and told everyone we’ve got to get better, and we should take time in our [position] groups to watch this game,” Tannehill said. “I was glad to see everyone wanted to do it.” Especially after a seven-hour game.

I LOVE reading he wants his Offense to come in on their day off to watch film and see their errors, good stuff!

Thanks for posting. Shows leadership and the team is following. All good.
Unfortunately we do have things to clean up.

That's my QB!!!! For all those who want a Tom Brady type QB they don't grow on trees people but the one we got is better than atleast half of the ones starting for other teams( i didn't go through a list just how i feel). For all you haters list who you'd rather have, should be both enlightening and entertaining. Although we one on Sunday so they might be ghosts for a day or 2.

I really like to read something like this. He is taking ownership of the offense and wants everyone to get better individually so the team can get better. Instead of taking the easy route and enjoying an extra day off, he (and everyone else that is showing up) is holding everyone accountable for doing their part.

Last season Jay Cutler was quoted after the first game: "go ahead guys just take the rest of the season off, I am".

They really need to pull the Rookie TE aside and have a talk with him.

This makes the 2nd time in a game that he's allowed a DB to man-handle him.

You're a TE, blocking in the trenches, and you get out physical by a DB? That should never happen!

Now with that said, Gase needs to get the kid some easy catches.

We see the talent but it's been pointed out that rookie TEs do have a learning curve.

I agree with your balance. He does need to be "shamed" a little about being handled by DBs but he isn't a bust already like we will soon begin to hear on this board.

This post should come with trigger warnings. I try my best to forget that Jay Cutler was a Miami Dolphin

I'm glad to hear that the guys bought in and followed Ryan's lead. That's what good TEAMS do. The key word is team and if we're nothing else, we're a team and I give Gase all the credit in the world for having the sand to know what he wanted and going out and getting it. The team showed the tip of the iceberg of what is possible with amazing speed at wide receiver and a 1, 2 punch of Gore (who looked fantastic!!) and Drake ( who should be in the Pro Bowl this season). Parker comes back strong and I don't see this offense doing anything except getting better and even if he doesn't come back strong we're still loaded. Great, weird, well earned win!! I think my last prediction was 26-16, not bad.

Tannehill is right. Miami was 2 of 10 convertng 3rd downs and scored 20 points on offense. Two FGs were set up by interceptions followed by a 19 yard drive and 0 yard drive.

Offensively Miami's success can be narrowed down to one long drive jump-started by 25 yards of penalties on the Titans and one big play.

More than being "Shamed" we need to put him in positions were he has the highest chance of being successful.

I think you would agree matching him up with a Superbowl MVP DB is not one of them.

Now, matching him up on an LB on a crosser etc type play/route are those "win" plays for the rookie.

We have to be careful not to expose him to so many critical lost plays that it starts to affect his confidence.

You have to be smart with the kid if you're Gase.

Give him some gimmie plays
