it will only help with keeping drives going picking up first downs and more.

I would say just 3 to 4 times a game to keep defenses off balance. Unless of course there are huge lanes for him.

It is about time that they actually ran the read option instead of just pretending. The way we had used it in the past was a joke. If you don't actually do a "read" it is pretty much useless.

I don't recall who mentioned it, but they said up until yesterday Ryan had handed off the ball on ever read option play up until yesterday. 100% of the time. So yeah it was huge to see him hang on to a few and make some huge plays with his legs.

Just watched the game on DVR. RT17 had 3 key runs that turned the game in the 2nd quarter. The 1st was a read option in which he gain 8 yards to start the drive. Then later in the drive on 1st down on a roll out RT17 decided to run instead of attempting a low percentage pass. He learned from his mistake last week and took what the D game him. He had another good run later and the drive ended with a TD that broke the game open.
