Tannehill should come out and say if Philbin goes I go

The teams personnel already fits a 3-4 better...

Except for some better play in the secondary (when Patterson isn't injured), this defense has regressed since Philbin/Coyle took over; they still can't defend the middle of the field and the highly rated rush defense is not so highly rated anymore. Same thing on offense; Philbin/Sherman move away from Bush and the running game to implement their short, quick passing system that has a poor 3rd down conversion percentage. But, when they mostly run, the passing game looks better IMO.

I see a stubborn staff that won't admit that their system doesn't take advantage of the strengths of the players on the roster. I never cared for what Philbin and Sherman wanted to do on offense, and I think it would be easier (and quicker) to replace the staff and their systems than to replace most of the roster.

this woudl work if tannehill was tom brady and philbin was belichick. if tannehill tried this crap he would be laughed right out of the office and told that they will find someone to help him pack.

Philbin is the best thing going for tannehill. He has helped groom great quarterbacks in the past and was smart enough to let tannehill go out his rookie year and play.

Tannehill fits the west coast system, understands the terminology, understands what the coaches are asking out of him, etc.

Philbin and tannehill are what this team needs. Miami must have consistency at QB and HC. Changing every other year in hopes of getting lucky and landing something better is foolish.

Tannehill has power in that Ross and most in the organization see him as the franchise QB. He shows enough good as a 2nd year QB to warrant that hope.

If he tells Ross you get rid of Philbin then I want a trade it will surely make a difference.

Bonehead post. Sorry but you already KNOW you regret putting this up. If you do not then you need to follow another sport. 10 pin bowling?

Exactly...why move up for Jordan (who would be a terror as a 3-4 olb) and try to turn him into a hand in the dirt DE....some of the moves they have made has been extremely suspect...

Tannehill would be better served and protected by more rushes and greater commitment to the running game, which Philbin and Sherman don't provide.

... and a big, strong o-line to protect him. The more he gets hit, the more he fumbles!
