Kudos to the Dolphins for finding the right solution out of the mess they backed themselves into. As someone on another board had already described, by letting this get to the point where Tannehill missed four practices (two full practices, two walk throughs) they backed themselves into a corner. If they had suddenly dropped the demand for offsets then they look weak/incompetent and it hurts their negotiating position in future contract dealings. Therefore, the only way for the Dolphins to grease things back into action would be to make concessions that probably nullify the value of the offset language.
Yea gotta agree now the agents will know that the Phins mean business and the rest of the teams that caved in on the offsets are weak and incompetent.
