If you watch the tape of the Buffalo game as someone who understands football, and not just some fan who plays Madden and Fantasy football and turns on the TV thinking that the QB just magically makes throws happen, you'll see a heck of a lot -- and understand that one of the better performing players on the field was Tannehill.
+ You'll see an OL get dominated for the most part, making some reads/throws impossible.
+ You'll see a disappearing act by Hartline, supposedly a great number 2 WR -- terrible separation, owned by Buffalo DBs. (How many years in the league. And how much money is he making to be a game-changer? And yet struggles worse than a rookie against good coverage -- still? Really?)
+ You'll see other WRs get exposed as marginal, unable to clearly beat tight man (Landry less so).
+ You'll see that Wallace was the only Miami WR consistently winning.
+ You'll see Clay majorly, majorly struggle against coverage -- horrible separation, slow feet, mediocre size, low physicality -- once again: exposed as a non-threat TE against higher level talent.
+ You'll see RBs miss plays in the passing game and get blown up in the running game: closed lanes and poor decisions.
To have the OL dominated and WRs, TEs and RBs simply unable to make that kind of coverage pay -- and yet put that loss on Tannehill... well, that pretty much tells me all I need to know about such posters on here.
Tannehill is a lone bright spot on this team. But Miami desperately needs interior OL help, better WRs at 2 and 3 who can make plays and make Ds pay for that kind of coverage. Miami needs a real TE who can't get consistently, physically owned by single coverage: a TE big enough to beat DBs and fast enough and quick enough to beat LBs. Miami needs a RB who can read, protect, and catch key passes without dropping the most important ones over and over again.
Simply put, this roster has some holdover holes from the Ireland regime. "Not bad" is pretty had when facing high caliber opponents.

I don't usually like to confront people's posts and pick them apart, but this was irresistible with the video game reference and implying people do not understand.
I watch every game at least once and do not play Madden, or any video games. I read your post and I see pretty much all of the excuses that I predicted before the season.
You should go back (as someone who understands football) and watch every play to Wallace since you think he is the only player winning in coverage...oh and Landry just to check that point. Just watch the plays where protection was good and Tanny threw to Wallace, as well as all of the attempted screen passes and swing passes to open players out of the backfield. Watch how often the ball arrives on time and on target allowing the player to continue running, vs. the passes where the player has to adjust then turn up field, or jump, or watch the ball sail past them or bounce before it gets to them. And I was saying this 2 years before Trent Green made the point famous this year vs. the patriots. At least more people are seeing it thanks to Green. But go check those well protected plays again.
Absolutely LOVE how you start you post out implying anybody who disagrees with you doesn't understand the game. Makes the reading more fun than just the typical Tannehill defense.
He'll have the odd game like Arizona last year and everyone will believe again. BTW that game was possible thanks to Hartline repeatedly beating his man on the outside, but what do I know about football, because I disagree with so much of your assessment? Might even be a good game today for Tannehill against KC, who knows? It's a good day for Tannehill to get the zone read right BTW. Opportunity there for reverses, etc.
Overall, we'll win a few games despite him, which happens to all QB's at some point, even the good ones. He will have the odd solid game like 'Zona too. Then he will have his share of of **** games and folks will make excuses. That's the cycle, unless the light comes on. Lazor will limit his offense and they will see if they can win with this guy. Eventually patience will run out unless Tannehill has some sort of revelation sooner than expected. I think it will come in his 30's. I know a coach who thinks he can still learn with some more reps and it may happen sooner, but he agrees that it has not happened yet so maybe you should coach his QB's for him since he clearly doesn't understand the game. But right now he's just not a good QB. Accept it, dismiss it, condescend anybody who sees it, whatever you want. Good guy, good athlete but not a good QB. Okay at best, is my opinion. Again, thanks for that list.
