Tannehill upset with the way he has played

You're the Brian Hartline of FinHeaven?

That's actually pretty funny. Like for humor, lol.

And... The play of Brian Hartline is now being used as an insult on this board. Which means my posts are making a difference. Ergo: I'm not a BH poster. I'm a difference maker & playmaker!

I'm winning w. the truth, lol.

Tanny better be watching CAL/Arizona right now. That's how you throw the football.

If you watch the tape of the Buffalo game as someone who understands football, and not just some fan who plays Madden and Fantasy football and turns on the TV thinking that the QB just magically makes throws happen, you'll see a heck of a lot -- and understand that one of the better performing players on the field was Tannehill.

+ You'll see an OL get dominated for the most part, making some reads/throws impossible.
+ You'll see a disappearing act by Hartline, supposedly a great number 2 WR -- terrible separation, owned by Buffalo DBs. (How many years in the league. And how much money is he making to be a game-changer? And yet struggles worse than a rookie against good coverage -- still? Really?)
+ You'll see other WRs get exposed as marginal, unable to clearly beat tight man (Landry less so).
+ You'll see that Wallace was the only Miami WR consistently winning.
+ You'll see Clay majorly, majorly struggle against coverage -- horrible separation, slow feet, mediocre size, low physicality -- once again: exposed as a non-threat TE against higher level talent.
+ You'll see RBs miss plays in the passing game and get blown up in the running game: closed lanes and poor decisions.

To have the OL dominated and WRs, TEs and RBs simply unable to make that kind of coverage pay -- and yet put that loss on Tannehill... well, that pretty much tells me all I need to know about such posters on here.

Tannehill is a lone bright spot on this team. But Miami desperately needs interior OL help, better WRs at 2 and 3 who can make plays and make Ds pay for that kind of coverage. Miami needs a real TE who can't get consistently, physically owned by single coverage: a TE big enough to beat DBs and fast enough and quick enough to beat LBs. Miami needs a RB who can read, protect, and catch key passes without dropping the most important ones over and over again.

Simply put, this roster has some holdover holes from the Ireland regime. "Not bad" is pretty had when facing high caliber opponents.

I don't usually like to confront people's posts and pick them apart, but this was irresistible with the video game reference and implying people do not understand.

I watch every game at least once and do not play Madden, or any video games. I read your post and I see pretty much all of the excuses that I predicted before the season.

You should go back (as someone who understands football) and watch every play to Wallace since you think he is the only player winning in coverage...oh and Landry just to check that point. Just watch the plays where protection was good and Tanny threw to Wallace, as well as all of the attempted screen passes and swing passes to open players out of the backfield. Watch how often the ball arrives on time and on target allowing the player to continue running, vs. the passes where the player has to adjust then turn up field, or jump, or watch the ball sail past them or bounce before it gets to them. And I was saying this 2 years before Trent Green made the point famous this year vs. the patriots. At least more people are seeing it thanks to Green. But go check those well protected plays again.

Absolutely LOVE how you start you post out implying anybody who disagrees with you doesn't understand the game. Makes the reading more fun than just the typical Tannehill defense.

He'll have the odd game like Arizona last year and everyone will believe again. BTW that game was possible thanks to Hartline repeatedly beating his man on the outside, but what do I know about football, because I disagree with so much of your assessment? Might even be a good game today for Tannehill against KC, who knows? It's a good day for Tannehill to get the zone read right BTW. Opportunity there for reverses, etc.
Overall, we'll win a few games despite him, which happens to all QB's at some point, even the good ones. He will have the odd solid game like 'Zona too. Then he will have his share of of **** games and folks will make excuses. That's the cycle, unless the light comes on. Lazor will limit his offense and they will see if they can win with this guy. Eventually patience will run out unless Tannehill has some sort of revelation sooner than expected. I think it will come in his 30's. I know a coach who thinks he can still learn with some more reps and it may happen sooner, but he agrees that it has not happened yet so maybe you should coach his QB's for him since he clearly doesn't understand the game. But right now he's just not a good QB. Accept it, dismiss it, condescend anybody who sees it, whatever you want. Good guy, good athlete but not a good QB. Okay at best, is my opinion. Again, thanks for that list.

It really was. Tannehill flicked it 50 yards in the air while on the run and knowing that he'll get hit. The pass falls right into Wallace's arms. No excuse he doesn't catch that. This particular pass is 100% on Wallace and if you asked him he'd tell you exactly this.

That play has been dissected on every site I see. I think it was a very very good throw considering he was under pressure. Perfect would have been a little more in bounds because there was space there. But when you consider he was under pressure that play and he got it to a place where Wallace could have made the catch in bounds, it's a very good throw. Tannehill stepped up under difficult conditions and Wallace had a chance to step up under difficult conditions as well (running full speed and trying to catch a ball at the boundary and keep his feet in). He didn't but I wouldn't blame either player because both were facing tough situations. That's a play where Tannehill did well enough to make the play and Wallace didn't. The thing is, the Tannehill haters will say it was out of bounds and the lovers will say Wallace sucks. I just wish Tannehill could make above average throws more often. Or even average one when he has decent protection. Great plays and long bombs only happen now and then. The problem for Tanehill is more about the typical crossing routes that this offense is supposed to thrive on, IMO, which makes me a hater in many peoples eyes. I'll live with that and still tell the truth now and then. Otherwise, I"ll just read here.

The problem is, I think we have seen Tannehill's best. In 3yrs, there is no improvement in pocket awareness, no improvement in his deep ball, and no improvement in ball placement. I do not think it gets any better.

I have been pretty much on the sideline as far as Tannehill because he has shown some good thing in his first couple of years and it can take time for a QB to develop; however, I I just don't see any improvement this year. I think this is his "potential"...that's it...no more. He will get to the end of the year, but if there aren't significant improvements...we are drafting a new QB next year.

New. Offense.

New. Offense.

A new offense doesn't make you throw a 5 yard quick-pass in the dirt to the WR in flats when the defense is playing too far off...

A new offense changes your reads and options, but once you make a decision...A NEW OFFSENSE DOESN'T CHANGE THE THROWS YOU MAKE...

Nobody has been talking about "BAD READS"...we are talking about "BAD THROWS".

I watched Foles throw 3 screen passes in the dirt last week. The haters need to get real.

Couldn't be more right Phin.

Shula and FinFan will pull out any excuse to save RT. Even the ones that don't make sense.

New excuse. We aren't even discussing reads and adjustments. He just throws like a girl.

How many times? The lovers need to get real.

P.S. Tannehill will hopefully have a good game today. Eric Berry is out and their secondary has shifted guys a bit. It's there for the taking. Then Oakland next week. If he wants to get his career going, this is his golden opportunity IMO.
