Tannehill vs Luck Updated

I'm jumping off the board as well in to the conversation about Luck vs RT. I can obviously see that Luck is very good....admit it. What I don't get is the total worship of the guy, and yes when it comes to rating him against RT. Their numbers are NOT that different... nor are the defensive numbers for the respective teams (as far as points scored against). They have the same amount of throwing TD's with luck having a few less Int's. So what is the glaring difference between the teams 2 game difference in record? Is it rushing TD's, special teams, field goals? What??? Because it is NOT.... I repeat NOT that Luck is hands down outplaying and dominating RT!!!!! Please don't inundate me with posts about Luck being the god of football because I am not understating how good he is. It also does no good to come back with "he has his team in playoff contention blah blah".... because HE doesn't!!! His production is obviously not the factor in what that team is doing. At least not to that glaring of a difference. Even in a far far inferior division they still have only scored 4 points/game more than we have.
I just don't see all the Luck worship. He's middle of the league stats wise. Just like RT.
It appears theres just a lot of carry over from the draft hype on him. He's very good, I get that......but for some people to be assuring he will be a hall of famer is just stupid.
Bash away....

Both players are limited by their surroundings, and are better than their statistics indicate, IMO. However, from watching both players, there is absolutely no way I can conclude that Ryan Tannehill is as good as Andrew Luck. Maybe some day? Okay. But definitely not today.

I apply the same standards to other QBs that I do to Tannehill. That is why although I think Russell Wilson is better than Ryan Tannehill, I think the gap is smaller than the statistics indicate. Wilson has better circumstances. Likewise, Geno Smith has better circumstances with good blocking, a very good defense, fairly competent receivers, a strong running game, and an offensive coordinator who I feel is very underrated. So when I bash on Geno Smith, it's taking into account that he is flat out ****ing terrible despite having relatively good circumstances to work with.

And yet the great Mark Sanchez has yet to even make the playoffs since his unprecedented play in his first two year.
Just say it JUNK, Sanchez sucks and you can't get off his jock. Say it with me JUNK, Sanchez blows.

the talent around him eroded, he's not Tom Brady elevating mediocre talent to the playoffs every year. He needs help like most QBs not name Brady do.

i don't understand how one team could be in the playoff race at 5-5, while another team in the same division is also 5-5, and be out of the playoff race? just because, if the season ended today, one team would be out of the playoffs? lol that's sounds about as retarded as it gets. Guess what, the season doesn't end in week 11. Both teams are in the playoff race. That would be like saying miami would be in the playoffs, when they were 3-0. Who cares?

Sanchez....the Sanchez who's only completed more then 55% once....has never had a rating over 80...has more int's then TD's over his career, has a 5.5 YPA...that Sanchez....oh that dude is trash.

who said Miami isn't in the race as of now?

the other two are awful

and one of those guys would have started over Ryan last year if he didn't get hurt.

there's no guarantee garrards corpse would have started over tannehill last year either...once tanny got reps and showed growth in camp and the preseason a healthy garrard i don't think would have changed how it went down...they wanted tanny to win that job and he did just that

Except I didn't discuss objectivity even though Stevie Wonder could see who the homer is btw us.

The guy that has no life that just spends his days hitting the "no thanks" button on my posts is talking about one of the best posters on the site. Amazing. The ones who ruin threads are the whiny complainers that can't keep up and just spend their time bashing posters rather than trying to attack the posts.

agreed: (NY Jets were "elite 09-11/ Sanchez a top 10QB/ Wouldn't trade Sanchez for most top 12 QBs or 2 first rounders/the jest deserved to make it into the 09 playoffs although they lost to Colts starters 45-27 when playing" etc etc etc)

Do your bosses know that despite posting 5-8 hours a weekday you're still not fooling anyone other than the biggest hard wired haters or most gullible?

Obviously Ryan would have been starting before too long but he wasn't going to start the year. he wasn't ready much like Geno this year wasn't ready.

does this make 15 pages of bad photoshops dedicated to me?

It's funny how you don't realize what that # of no thanks actually means.

laugh all you want...

I think Ryan can be a good starting QB in this league, he's not one yet but he can be one. To say he has the highest ceiling of the young QBs is pretty silly. I know you are all in and have to back him but he clearly doesn't have the highest ceiling.
