Tannehill vs Luck Updated

I saw what you wrote, you agreed then gave me comp % as the reason he is more accurate.

This is what I wrote:

what you missed said:
You can say (actually will say) that how do we know where the location of each of those passes were, but the thing is, Ryan did complete a higher percentage, so either his receiver are better then the Luck's helping him with the bad placing of the passes (Even you have admit that's not true), or Ryan actually has been more accurate.

Basically, we don't need to know where the placement was each time, because if Ryan was not truly accurate, then that would mean that the reason he still had a higher completion % was because he has better receiver...do you believe that is the reason?

i'm done with mark...the league is too...the guy couldn't pick up a obvious from the get go clean edge rusher or slot blitzer to save his life...missed throws all over the place...his accuracy in a west coast o was a joke...must be carried by a running game and strong d that gives him short fields qb...

we'll see if the league is, I know the Jets wish he was healthy right now. He didn't play in a west coast O, this would have been his first year. go back and watch those games where the run game "carried him". Go check all the late leads that "strong D" blew. Even w/ the best run game and D you need quality QB play to win 4 road playoff games and we had a GOOD run game and very good NOT great D.

now imagine if actually ran the ball well with consistency...

Imagine if you guys didn't abandon the run b/c they foolishly trust Ryan more than they should for now.

14 carries for 2 yards. I'm so glad we decided to let Ryan throw a pass here and there.

By looking at the only thing we have at our disposal to tell us, Comp%...unless you have watched every Colt and Dolphins games.

And before you start the Comp % does not show how accurate a QB is, I agree, but what it does tell us is that Ryan was able to complete a higher amount of passes then Luck.

You can say (actually will say) that how do we know where the location of each of those passes were, but the thing is, Ryan did complete a higher percentage, so either his receiver are better then the Luck's helping him with the bad placing of the passes (Even you have admit that's not true), or Ryan actually has been more accurate.

I'm with ya. You don't get bonus points for throwing just out of the reach of a WR over 10 yards over his head, if a WR runs the wrong route, or if a QB can't step into the throw/gets hit while throwing.

If the Dolphins get to the playoffs it will be because of Tannehill and even though no one will consider him an MVP, he should be because without him this team is maybe a 3 - 7 team. HE's done more with no run game and little pass blocking then anyone could have expected. Once the o-line get fixed he's going to be scary....

What's funny is the Sanchez Vs Henne thread can still be argued.. Henne ends up playing more games in his Nfl career than Sanchez yet neither ever win a Super Bowl.. The Luck vs Tannehill vs Geno argument.. Well I'd imagine that will be a 2 headed race in another season also. But that's ok that nobody believes Nyjunc that Sanchez is a Good Quarterback. I mean heck he beat the charges in that Afc conference game with 93 yards passing. What other QB in the league could accomplish such amazing stats.

oh boy, now he should get MVP consideration. Maybe he is better than Andrew Luck?

as of right now: Sanchez 4 PO wins, Luck/Tannehill ZERO

when you make statements about the SD game like that you show how little you know. I guess you would rather have thrown for 300 yds and lost?

I won't go that far but I honestly believe that anyone who thinks the QB is the problem with this team basically just wants the QB to be the problem. The QB is helping this team overcome problems right now.

I don't actually mean be in the MVP race, but he is essentially doing more then most expect considering what he has had to deal with all season (locker room issues, NFL investigation, no run game, 41 sacks at this point int he season)...he is overcoming a lot.

I think the bigger point of the OP was to show that Ryan Tannehill isn't doing as bad as the nega.... realists have been saying he has.

Luck is basically on pace to have a similar TD year to what he had as a rookie (provided he averages 2 TDs a game) While Ryan has already passed his total and is on pace to have a similar TD total. Unless Luck ****s the bed a few games he's pretty much going to cut his INT total at least in half (currently hsa 1/3 of the INTs he had as a rookie). That's the next step in Tanny's development as he has only 2 less INTs than he did last year.

As I said in another thread, my prediction in the preseason (before Keller got hurt) was 22 TDs and 15 INTs, with an outside shot at 25 TDs. If he gets 1 a game it's 20 (first time a Fins QB has done that since 2001), if he averages 2 TDs He gets 26 TDs (most in nearly 2 decades by a Fins QB)

Based on how's he's played this year? I'd say he's gonna finish with 24 and 18

True story.

I'm pretty sure I had 25 TD's and 15 in preseason. I'm guessing he would have a few more TD's and a few less Int's under "normal" circumstances of average sacks and a bit of a run game. I'm still happy with his progress.

Hoops, my mistake. These numbers were from last year. This year RT is 36 of 57 in play action for 482 yards, 4 TD's, and a rating of 113.4.

The point is even Leinart would of won that game. You are blind and I commend you for having a favorite player. But the playoff wins lay on Rex Ryan's shoulders. Without him And his D schemes Sanchez has a similar career as leinart so far.

But that shows how much you know

that's still pretty good considering we can't run the ball
