Tannehill vs Luck Updated

ryan threw 3 tds to give us the lead vs buffalo after admittedly having a poor first quarter...vs cinci andy dalton left plays to be made all over the place...i'm not gonna pimp the d for dalton throwing a tight red zone out cutter that is a walk in 6 off the db leverage and coverage if dalton throws it out in front that he placed terribly too far to the inside...that's a bang the qb play not a feather in the d's cap in my book...

as for cinci down 3 late ryan made throws that any qb the jets have could only dream of to get us in fg range after being sacked on the opening play and put in 2nd and 17...a play where clay fell down coming out of his break and hooking up and tannehill had to come off it before being devoured by michael johnson...

good you mentioned that safety cause the o flipped the field on cinci with the check at the los to a max protect vertical with wallace inside our own 20 where the qb held the safety to the other side with his head and shoulders in his drop and redirected his head shoulders and feet to the target before laying a out in front and to the outside beauty of a throw that the cinci corner had to tackle the ankles on...still it flipped the field...then we get in 3rd and less than one and shermy dials up a off tackle run that is stoned when he could have just snuck the 6 ft 4 230 lb qb for the conversion...

still yes we punted on the next play and backed em up deep and because of that wakes sack wasn't just a momentum changer but a game winner...thank you offense

3 TDs then fumbled and put Buf in FG range for the GW TD

Dalton struggled that night w/o a doubt which is a credit to your D which scored 9 pts(including the GW pts in OT) in an OT win.

The D scores 9 pts in an OT game including the GW(they were on the 8 not the 1) and it's thank you offense?

I see vaark the stalker still can't read. You can save all my posts but you may want to have someone that can read translate it to you.

Funny, our resident paid shill complaining about 2nd year QB RT's turnovers (of course now that it's business hours and he gets paid to do so) when as the last troll standing he was still defending a 3rd and 4th year one who was statistically the worst QB in the league since JaMarcus with 52 turnovers in 2 seasons. Really, you can't make this shizzle up. I don't think he even knows how ridiculously disingenuous he's always coming off - but as they say "ignorance is bliss" :idk:

but sanchez won 4 playoff games! on the road!

dalton didn't struggle cause of our d he struggled cause well he's just not a very good qb...prime example of stats don't tell the story of how that guy plays the position...numbers look good but on field play leaves a lot to be desired...thqt guys the definition of a mediocre qb...better have a damn good d and legit run game to prop him up and hide his many flaws

the buffalo fumble was stepping up and getting chopped down contact on his throwing arm...it happens...just like the saints fumble was helmet contact on his ball carrying arm...it happens

it keeps happening and that was at the worst possible time, if it doesn't happen you likely win.

Dalton is decent, he'll never be a top guy. he has incredible talent around him.

true if it doesn't happen we do likely win...just like if the protection holds up we do too...just didn't happen...sometimes you tip your cap to the defender...should have never left clabo one on one with williams in that scenario anyways though

LOL at this thread.... you guys are out of your collective minds.

LUCK is better than THILL.... He will lead his team to multiple SB's.

No real or true reasons why Luck is much better or will win many more SBs then Tannehill... Just because, right?

Those stats aren't really close in the OP, Luck is clearly better. How about Andrew Luck 3 fumbles, Ryan Tannehill 8.
Lmao. How about Tannehill sacked twice as many times, a good portion of those coming from his blindside. They clearly are close, what are you looking at.

Luck doesn't get any credit for avoiding more sacks?

Lol he would if all other things were equal. But I would be willing to guarantee Tannehill has been under pressure considerably faster than Luck, thus giving him less time to move around the pocket. And I use the word "pocket" loosely when talking about the Dolphin's line.

I wouldn't say that and w/ Wayne out Miami has more talent around the QB.

I don't think anyone would try to argue Tannehill is as good or better than Luck, and if they do they are just being homeristic. However I think it is closer in a lot of us Dolphans' minds than you are claiming it to be....Luck gets more style points as he was a much more polished prospect. Kid looks like he grew up in "the pocket", I wouldn't expect Tannehill to be that natural coming out. I raise the question though if Luck is SO much better than Tannehill how come he hasn't absolutely trumped him in all statistical categories? If you're going to make excuses based on the line, WR, talent, injuries, etc I don't want to hear because we could make the same song and dance for Tannehill. You say stats aren't everything? Then what is it?

You are eating glue if you think Tannehill is in Luck's league. Point blank. Watch the games.

Luck has only played about a million more games at the QB position, not saying Tannehill is better than Luck or will ever be. But the conclusion to this comparison is a couple of years away. We shall See..
