Some think me to be crazy to compare the two. Let's take a look at how they are doing. Updated.

RT has dropped back 260 times to Luck's 249. RT is 136 of 224, a 60.7% to Luck's 133 of 219, a 60.7%. Hmmm, no difference there.

RT has thrown for 1574 yards, a 7.0 average to Luck's 1577 yards, a 7.2 average. Same.

RT has 9 TD's to Luck's 10 but, has 7 picks to Luck's 3. There's a difference but, RT is sacked 26 times with 18 drops to Luck's 15 sacks and 16 drops. Seems pretty damn close considering.

Then there's always Luck throwing long more. On passes over 20 yards in the air, RT is 8 of 21 for 293 yards. Luck is 9 of 28 for 307 yards.

GODDAMNIT, I can't see the difference. What am I missing? Oh, maybe it's the head to head battle?

You and I must be watching different sports.

The road to the Super Bowl goes through Indy for the next decade.

Stats are interesting. But look at 4th quarter comebacks. Luck has done it time and time again. Ryan hasn't won a big game yet.

That being said, Luck should be expected to be the better QB. Ryan has time to develop. Just needs to stay healthy.

Luck is the real deal no ifs ands or buts. They do not compare right now at all. I dont care what the stats say.

Luck has four years experience starting in college and hall of famer Reggie Wayne in all his NFL starts.

Tannehill had a season and a half starting in college and Brian Hartline in all his NFL starts.

Hmmm.

Luck's play in the clutch and playmaking ability overall was much better than Tannehill's last year, and it is again this year, and that has been while running a more difficult offense from the standpoint of the quarterback's role. See here, for example:

This likely has a great deal to do with why their teams have had such different records during their tenures with them.

Tannehill has won some big games. He came up big against the Colts and Falcons, but he has been inconsistent. It's just hard to judge him behind this O-line. He's not a R. Wilson, who can overcome especially poor O-line play.

On the other hand, Luck is one of the few guys in the NFL who can overcome poor O-line play.

Agreed.
Luck is a lot like Joe Montana only with Tim Tebow's body. Stats don't tell the story. I would trade Tanny and our next two drafts for Luck.

Hmmm.

Luck looked better as a sophomore in college than Tannehill does now. This comparison needs to stop.

You're forgetting fumbles and fumbles lost. It's the difference between us being 4-2 and 3-3.

Against Indy, and the comeback against Atlanta.
And against Seattle last year.
But hey don't let facts cloud your judgement.

Luck has probably the league's best young GM setting up his team in Ryan Grigson.

Yeah, I didn't beg for us to go out and get that guy two years ago when everyone wanted to axe Ireland then.

"Who is Ryan Grigson?", they said.

"We should lose all of these games to get Andrew Luck. Go get TY Hilton in the third round."

I never said these things.

every ten years or so an elite prospect comes along. andrew luck is that elite prospect. the difference between luck and #2 qb. IMO... was galaxies apart.

we didn't get him.

the end.

TY Hilton is my trigger word.
